I was in SF two weeks ago and saw a guy wearing a panthers hat on the Golden Gate Bridge. I approached him, shook his hand for being so bold, and tried to talk Panthers with him but he just shook his head and smiled. My kids pulled my attention away and that was the end of that interaction. I don’t know if he understood me, could hear me through all the wind, it was just a hat he found, or was just embarrassed. My wife thinks he didn’t understand English, but I think he was just embarrassed because it was just a hat he had to wear of a terrible team. 

There's a lot a guy could be contemplating up there on that bridge. Hopefully not THAT this early in the season, but you never know...

I've always thought it looks too much like a sticker on the helmet.  Really need to sear it in.  Like a Springfield cat.
