Tepper and Canales have meeting after Game 1 loss to discuss state of franchise

Whatever... I am not really concerned about it. Lack of communication can be a big negative too. 

Tepper thought we were supposed to be point guarding to the playoffs last year at this time. 2-15. He doesn't think that the Saints game cost us a playoff spot it just was embarrassing. 

I would be willing to bet that Tepper cracked some kind of joke about how Canales' 1st HC game worked out. He saw Bryce. Bet he asks what the hell is really going on with his QB if he hasn't already. He has a right to.

I would wonder if they discussed Hassan Reddick who is on the block, I think.

I see nothing wrong with this at all, considering the expectation of some improvement for Bryce and seeing him go backwards. I imagine they are discussing if he’s salvageable at this point and at what point they have to turn the page.

I hope (that word again) Canales is able to convince Tepper where the problem is.   I wanted BY to work out and still want to be wrong about this but the team needs to begin the process of moving on.  He has an offensive line and receivers that are getting open.  Excuses from last year are gone. Sad to say but he doesn’t seem to be able to perform at a level that allows an NFL team to compete.

the head coach should be the one who chooses who plays & does not play

I’m actually hopeful that Canales can take the lead and get the franchise backing to say we need competition for Young. That’s what we all hope happens this year, an answer on whether or not Young is the guy. I know my thoughts but that was an expensive trade up with disastrous results. If I’m the owner, I want my coach to give it to me straight. If Young isn’t the guy, how do we develop the young skilled guys like Leggette and Sanders and Brooks. I am tired of, “Next year will be better.”  I still want this year to be successful!  If we need to move on from Bryce, I have no confidence in Andy Dalton. 
 

I am not jumping on the Bench Bryce bandwagon.  I still believe that he deserves a few games, to properly judge his performance.

i am saying, who is the third string QB?  If there is no third string, how can we get a decent third string QB?

Dave, it's time. 

I agree 100%.  The time investment of the fans matters.  Patience does not last forever.  I think we'll see a Bryce injury by week 4 or 5.

I get the argument of this being a normal thing with a boss and a new staff hire. However this is anything but a normal situation currently. After what we know and have known about Tepper's involvement over the years I think it's more than fair to say this is either going to end up going pretty good or it's going to be another shitshow. Just calling it like i see it.
