Dont get me wrong...

I love a good griddle burger with its salt and the greasy quality.  There is a place in the world for that.

But when you want a burger that calls you to the backyard and the Weber grill and the oddly shaped pattys...

Sir everyone knows the best burger is homemade in your backyard.

Smashburger season salt n pepper no extra stuff!

Smash patties until crisp on the edges.

Homemade chilli ground beef, salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, onion cook on low let simmer until the water evaporates in the sauce.

Cole slaw, prepackaged mix, mayo, light mustard, vinegar mix well.

Toast potato buns on griddle with butter.

Cheese use whatever you like.

Boom best burger in the world Carolina style!

Sorry, I'm preferential to my own burgers.

I have a hard time eating Cook Out.  Whenever I do, it creates a brown volcano in my guts.  It's not pleasant.

As far as where I go out for a burger...  The Wendy's near my work has been kind to my guts and hasn't tasted too terrible.  Honestly, I avoid fast food as much as possible.  When we do go out to eat, it's usually for something I don't make usually or do well, lol.

I try to stay away from the Wendy's/Burger King fast food spots. Not because I don't like the food.

It's the people that cook the food that bothers me. They tend to hire people off the street. Don't believe me walk in and check the people in the back who are cooking.

I just can't trust people like that cooking my food. No disrespect.

I rarely eat Burgers anymore, but several people have told me that Culvers has the best Burger around now.

i like culvers alright.

something about cookout, though. doesn't seem like they are trying to be anything different than someone who just makes good burgers, throws stuff on them, and smashes it all together. nothing there is pretty, but it's damn tasty food.

Culvers is OK but I prefer other things on their menu than their Butterburgers and I was happy to hear Gboro is getting a Whataburger (never had it but heard good things) but when it comes to the taste of a no frills burger off of an open flame...

Cookout has the magic.

Cookout is certainly a tasty burger and I will never turn one down.  Been eating more healthy these days so haven't had the cookout or similar burger in a long time.  I do make my own awesome burgers on the weber kettle or smashed on the blackstone.

I will say a local non chain restaurant can have the best greasy unhealthy heart blocking patties.  Really wanted one yesterday from a local no name and finally talked myself out of it.

    • i got attacked by a housecat once. pretty terrifying.  i was at a friends house and the cat jumped on my lap. it was calm for a minute but then it turned on it's back and bit my hand and sunk it's claws into my arm, all four of them so i grab the thing and pull the thing off my arm, dragging it's claws down my arm. i finally get the crazy thing off and throw it on the ground then it grabs my leg (fortunately i was wearing jeans that day) and the owner, who has just been sitting there in shock watching this happen to this point, grabs the thing and carries it downstairs and throws it outside.  supposedly that cat had never done anything like that before. i had been over there a lot and never had any problems with that cat. but something happened to it and it was never the same. went completely mental. they kept it outside after that. one week they went on vacation for a few days and apparently a stray chow came around and when they got home, the chow had the cat trapped under a car. no telling how long it had been there.  they chased off the chow and the cat ran off and they never saw it again. then that chow hung around for a while and was terrorizing the other animals, including an old horse they had in a pasture. they called animal control on it and they found it under one of their outbuildings. they figured the only thing they could do is shoot the thing. they shot it with a shot gun and it took one blast and then went running towards the guy who shot it and had to shoot it again.
    • Whoa baby canes dominated the third period. Kooch with an absolute stellar game minus the blue line goal. Btw, Koochie is now 10-2 with a .907 save %. He tends to get better as the year goes. Maybe we see Martin in net since it’s a back to back. Also, canes a rare +105.  See how that one plays out. Aho also got going.  LFG CANES!
