Still a Canes fan though , and still support them, I just want another cup and we are so close, but we fall apart against legit teams in the playoffs , we almost got it back if Freddy could move without falling over

Has being a Panthers fan taught you nothing? Don't complain about 6 strait playoff years and no first round exits.....

I don't even like to compare the 2 sports any more. It doesn't make sense.

Football is a 17 game season and a team needs to win 3 or 4 games to play for the championship. Hockey is 82 games and a team getting to the Cup final needs to win 16 of 28 possible games.

The Stanley Cup is the most difficult championship to win and appreciating a team that, at least, puts itself in a position to contend is enough to have my fan commitment.

Oh I'm committed, the fact I'm still a Panthers fan should tell you what I'm willing to endure 

But I want more than just being there , I want Rod to be one of the few who lifted the Cup as a player and coach 

But I will never stop being a Canes fan, no matter what , I haven't forgotten when we were a bottom feeder and all free agents declined to come here, so I appreciate being in the cup conversation every season, I just really want the Canes to be a multi-championship franchise , and 2006 seems like ancient history now
