The sad part is, Bryce likely gets one more season.  He'll get the "new coaching staff, new system" excuse to survive another season.

If Bryce keeps playing like this, he’ll break down mentally by the end of October.

Looking at him yesterday, I think he’ll bench himself if he has another game like yesterday.

there is no way in hell any professional coaching staff will run bryce out there for a 3rd year if he looks like he did yesterday.  Hell I think they pull young when we are sitting at the inevitable 0-4.

I would tend to agree, but you know who the owner is right?  You know how he manipulated a veteran coaching staff last year, right?  We move on from Bryce when Tepper finally has enough, but that's his guy.  Everyone knows it and I don't know if his ego will allow it.

47-10

he is absolutely the captain of this ship

2.7 seconds

focus on running the ball at 60 yards total today , fug dave he is the problem

Not just that, I see people talking about scheme and receivers being open.  Hell his personnel and play calling were very suspect to me.  For passing plays he had a scat back in for blocking.  We didn't run the ball until we had a QB in that could actually throw it.  I don't know what a lot of you people saw, and obviously I was playing a drinking game, but I did not see good coaching or personnel decisions at all.

Bryce will  likely give up on himself before Tepper will, unfortunately.

Say what you will about tepper but the one thing he has shown is he’s willing to move on from people fairly quickly if they aren’t performing. He seems fairly reasonable in that aspect, if not overly aggressive.

if there isn’t substantial improvement I don’t think he’ll have an issue drafting a qb

I've said it in another couple of threads, but we have to give Canales time.  When he was hired, it was said he was the right hire a year too early.  Dave will have to learn on the job.  He and Morgan need at least 2+ years like Rhule got.  We'll have a good idea in the first part of year three if there's any hope for the future.

Tepper is aggressive about canning people he hires. He's allowed the coaches and GMs to handle the player aspect...for now.  I can see him start to tell Dan and Dave who to bench and who to start shortly though if things continue like this.  Everyone thinks Jerry Jones meddles too much, but he's the owner and GM who actually has a football background. Tepper is an egotistical a$$ who thinks because he's made of money and successful in hedge funds that he knows how to build a winning NFL franchise.

Same shite different year. It wasn't Hurney 2.0. Them it wasn't Rhule but Brady. Then it was Rhule and not Fritterer. Then it was Fritterer and not Morgan. Now it's not DC? Yes he is part of the problem and hasn't earned anything and does have to justify his contract and real reasons he should stay.

He isn't the only problem but to say he has done a good job is complete BS. The team is unprepared and he doesn't look like he has a clue once the cheerleader shtick stops working.

We'll see.

We tried the hot college coach in Rhule.  We went for a steady handed vet.  Now we try the hot shot coordinator.

Either you can coach or you can't.  Tepper also needs to be patient here.  He gave Rhule a lot of time.  He canned Reich before the end of his first season.  If he goes off and fires another coach after a few games, no one will want to work for him except to get the bag.  That's not going to help you build a better team when you have to overpay (which we did for Canales) for coaches and fire them one after another.

It sucks for fans, but that's where we are right now.  We'll keep finding that rock bottom (week to week would be hilarious and sad) until we don't.

    • Fields is by far the most talented of the available QBs in FA.   Just not sure he will be a available because the Steelers are winning games. The more games they win the less likely he will be available. Fields gets them to the playoffs he's getting a nice contract from the Steelers imo.
