We have to give Canales a chance.

Canales has to make lemonade with a lemon at QB. He’s not the problem. The improvements to the line and playmakers were apparent in the offseason and it showed today. Guys were open and the offensive line held up (sacks were on corner blitzes).

its my own hypothesis that Canales knows his QB1 sucks, and is doing all he can to show Tepper that. So now were 1-0 in that department.

Tepper can't rage fire another coach in his first season. He just can't. He's already made working for him the hardest sell in the league. Rage fire another coach mid-season and guys are just gonna start telling their agents to cook up a plausible excuse for them to turn down interviews. I don't want to risk getting an offer.

Reich got fired because he benched Young & wanted a QB for his system

And to make matters worse, Bryce made the wrong adjustments to counter the blitz. That makes it tough to support him.

Dan spent like 200 million on offense when we have maybe 3 NFL caliber players on defense. He then filled the rest of the defensive roster with practice squad players.

Everyone knew the defense was going to be bad but there is literally zero excuse for Bryce. Beefed up interior line. Traded for a proven WR known for being quick and getting open. Drafted a WR, RB, and TE.

Bryce looks like he spent all offseason at his parents house in his childhood bedroom playing Minecraft and eating Dino nuggets.

He Has to earn it or he can go with the other trash. Use more of Tepper's money and the #1 pick to lure in better people. It's his money and I couldn't care less about it. These hires were always settling becaude of the situation and that ends at the end of this year apparently.

    • Fields is by far the most talented of the available QBs in FA.   Just not sure he will be a available because the Steelers are winning games. The more games they win the less likely he will be available. Fields gets them to the playoffs he's getting a nice contract from the Steelers imo.
