releasing Chaisson helps save 2 mill, so still have 6.6 million in space to "create."  Probably will come from restructures, but a surprise cut could be coming.

They will probably restructure a couple. It looks like everyone that can save us immediate money either starts or is a key rotational guy.

It takes real effort to have the worst cap situation in the league and still have one of the worst overall rosters in the league, all this accomplished with a QB on a rookie contract. That's truly special stuff right there. LOL

Look for the Panthers to do a simple restructure of Moton. Cutting Chaisson and restructuring Moton's deal to bring his base salary down to the league min this year will get the Panthers under the cap.

It’s interesting they didn’t do this earlier.

Last year of his deal. Makes me think they wanted the option to move on after this season.

The cap situation has been brewing for awhile now. Things weren't going to change overnight. But at the same time for the sake of your own sanity it was always best to approach this situation with the mindset that fair or not the onus is on Dan Morgan to prove he is markedly different from Scott Fitterer. And before anyone chimes in on some he inherited this talk. Well. He participated in everything that transpired. Heavily. We're just going to have to wait and see if the wins come along. They better.
