Better than I would have thought.

I do feel like there is some positional bias to this scoring. I don't think it is as effective at gauging IDL/OL players versus QB's, WR's, etc.

I like the PFR AV overall, though. They did retire the old CarAV and replace it with wAV.

First reaction was suspicion of that being the case. Whatever, we are getting ready to see what is what soon enough.

Yeah we have waited a long time.

I'm still waiting until week 3 before I look too closely at things. Early season fog over the league in general, no film of the offense really, we might be able to do a little better early.

(which is just about the same thing I said last year, and what a disaster it turned out to be. Who even needed film?).

Aside from McCaffrey Hurney’s picks are the best…

Yup. All GMs miss, but Hurney was a pretty good one aside from contract mgt. never thought I’d say that. To me, SS89 in the third will forever be the most important pick in franchise history. The number of games won due directly to the influence of that 1 man will never be equaled by this team again.

Hurney was mainly a 1st round specialist. His 2nd through 7th was pretty rough historically.

He still hit on some guys in those rounds too....

Guys like Ryan Kalil, Josh Norman, Greg Hardy...

1000x better than whatever the fug UnFitterer was doing....

He was a specialist at drafting all busts...

This team has been totally stripped of talent since he left.  We all loved to bash Hurney and fox and Rivera but damn if I'm not sorry about it.  It can always get worse.  Hopefully we finally start to turn the ship around this year.
