A few others teams play it as well. Never understood why the Panthers did it to begin with. The song isn't about the state nor had I in my 23 years living in NC heard it called "Caroline".

Now that Tepper has screwed over SC twice now, and only about 30 people went to that Clemson thing, might as well fully transition to an NC team.

That was Jerry Richardson's idea for a fight song. NFL teams had them back when he played. They don't really resonate 60-plus years later, though.
