He would be a backup in case a starter was out, only. We have acquired two reserve safeties from FA who also are ST guys. We are set at corner, so I wouldn't imagine us even considering a DB in the draft unless a stud happens to fall to us.

To be honest I think they are trying to improve this team, I think the Vet QB will come after the draft and a WR or two will come from it. To me the ST (and Jake) were consistently either not very good or worse, giving up field postion and points. So all these signings that don't look like they will have any effect you could be suprised.

I am excited to see what all the new coaches (ST and WR) will have in store. If our ST can become a top 10 unit wel could have a top 10 unit on all phases. We had a top 10 D and O end of last year so its not as unlikely as it seems.

I can't see us taking a QB high in the draft leaving D-line and WR. I wouldn't be shocked to see 2 DL guys and a WR (not nesessarily in that order) with our first three picks. Besides BPA, nothing else makes sense at this point.
