Difference at least for Stroud is he was second in P5 football in air yardage and it translated to the NFL. Stroud was sixth in the NFL in air yardage.

He’s a guy who can truly stretch the field.

Beck is all underneath.

Beck reminds of all the Bama QBs prior to Tua/Hurts.  He is smart and good….playing with arguably the best roster in football

He’s a game manager, nothing wrong with that at the college level; but you have to be able to do more in the NFL.

I am impressed with Beck (QB UGA).  Worst case scenerio, but if Bryce bombs--and I hope he does not---because I really hope we are in play for a top edge rusher.

He sucks at throwing slants. Missed a TD on a slant throwing it high and just missed what would've been a 1st down conversion throwing a slant well behind the receiver.

Really don’t like this upcoming draft for QB’s, hopefully Bryce works out.

A couple G5’s to watch are Joey Aguilar from App State and Kaidon Salter from Liberty. Wish both transferred so it would be easier to evaluate them.

Kid from ND has potential

We'll see how it pans out over the season. No one would've expected Jayden Daniels to be a top picks. Same with the McCarthy and Penix.

I have not been looking at the college QBs much and I am not a good evaluator of QB talent historically--but I know that Ewers kept Arch Manning on the pine in Texas, which tells me that he won a competitive battle against a player who I am sure was/is a fan favorite.   To me, that means he is mentally tough.  Texas won too.  So I am interested in seeing what he can do.  Sure he has limitations, but so did Brees, Delhomme, etc.  Winning is a mindset, and I am interested in looking into him more if Bryce struggles.

Basically this. Not saying he can't throw downfield I just haven't seen it consistently. It's easy to throw a screen and your receiver picks up 30 after a broken tackle.

Let's see that arm and accuracy on a 40 yard bomb.

It’s week 1 against a great defense. Last year he was 9.4 YPA.

I have no idea how Beck is the projected #1 pick in the draft.

A 5th senior on a loaded roster. He's basically getting the ball out quick to his receivers and they are getting him yards after the catch. No downfield throws so far.

Although i can kinda agree, the same was said of Joe Burrow

Daniels had showed a unique skill set though to go along with a decent senior season. His final year at LSU he just put it all together. I don’t really see a QB like him in this draft other than Sanders.

The knock on Penix was always his age and injuries, his numbers were always good. Even at Indiana. He was over drafted though.

McCarthy I don’t really have a feel on. I’d have liked to seen him in an offense that challenged the QB more. He can make the throws but Harbaugh made the offense simple for him.
