I mean, if guys start sitting out playoff games - which honestly under the current system just feels like a matter of time before it starts happening - that's the type of thing that could kill the golden goose. I mean, what's even the point of being a CFB fan if it's that obvious that the NFL bound guys just see this whole thing as a forced pitstop on their way to the league? Which is exactly the case for a lot of these guys, but you kinda of have to keep the charade going. Kinda like how the NFL somehow keeps up an act for fans like most players are signing based on guaranteed money and that's it. Every free agent talks about wanting to go somewhere that they can win, etc. then you watch them sign for a Brinks truck with some bottom feeder. LOL

I think guys paid by the collective will soon have clauses built in about play.  Of course, you can always fake an injury I guess.

lol yeah he got the draft projections and said I'll take the NIL money.

I think it's the right call. Can't imagine UGA is interested in him starting next year and he's probably been told that he'll have an opportunity to compete and promised nothing more than that. What is his draft status? Probably a mid-rounder. Hitting college free agency and cashing another NIL check while hoping to improve his draft stock is probably his best bet to be honest.

Makes you think though.  Now that late round guy you're taking a shot on couldn't even pull a NIL check in college.

I think there is a 7 year loop hole now for some

Yeah, we're finally almost done with the COVID extra year stuff but evidently there's a loophole for junior college guys where that doesn't count against their D1 eligibility or something. We're probably about to see quite a few 24 and 25 year olds who aren't good enough for the NFL but on their mid-20s with several years of college experience they're still good college players. It just keeps getting dumber. LOL

Yeah watching 24 year olds playing against 19-20 year olds always feels lame when trying to evaluate these guys.

Yeah, I mean you're talking about guys who are the age of a lot of second or third year NFL players playing against kids that are oftentimes a year or two out of HS. Legitimately men amongst boys.

    • From what I am seeing these are the locks for teams drafting in the top 10: 1. Ten - Cam Ward  2. Cle - Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter (it will be one of the two, so this close enough to a "lock") 4. NE - Will Campbell (it has been leaked that people in the building are claiming him as "our guy") 5. Jac - Mason Graham 7. Jets - Armand Membou (they want Graham, but he won't be there. Next guy on the board is Membou)   The real wild cards are the Giants and the Raiders. No one seems to know exactly what they want to do. I think if Hunter is there for NY they take him, but Carter is not a "need" for them, and they might entertain trades down, but anyone that wants to jump up to 3 would want a QB and that might be too rich for the return for most teams. Would someone trade up for Carter or Hunter? Maybe. But it would need to be a team on the verge of winning a championship to make that move seem logical. The Raiders could go any direction. They need help on both sides of the ball. They won't go QB because of the trade for Geno. With Pete Carroll at the helm, the logical thought is defensive back. Could Starks or Emmanwori go this high? Does Carroll like Will Johnson enough to pick him? Is Jeanty their guy? I think the Panthers spot at 8 has become very attractive. It isn't top 5, so it won't cost as much to trade up into it, and it is right above the Saints, who could be in the QB market, and the Bears, which have been heavily linked to Jeanty. I think if Jeanty is on the board at 8, Jerry Jones won't be able to help himself and will call us. Morgan will likely take the trade, add picks, and still get one of his top guys.
    • All I know is the track record of 1st round rookie Wr getting less than 500 yards in year 1 is very bleak. And mad because Bryce looks bad? I'm mad if a player in a panther jersey drops the ball. Don't get that argument...
    • Will say, I was watching clips and J Stewart was a nightmare for potential 1st round OT Ersery w/Minnesota.  Took care of that kid when they played.
