It says to me that he wants to be picked before Sanders. Tape is more important for draft position than the Combine. The media will be pimping the Sanders gang full throttle leading up to the draft. Ward needs tape to offset that.

He broke the NCAA TD record which I think was all he wanted. This is just a guess.

I guess so. This qb class is a mixed bag of some potential to just flat out disappointing.

Nice to see these top 2 QBs one last time.  Looking forward to BYU vs Colorado next game.  Miami with a really nice showing here, Iowa St is tough

My first thought as well but the all time NCAA passing TD leader is a huge deal.  Hard to fault the guy.

I think it’s clear in my mind after review that Cam Ward is definitely the best available QB and should go #1.  His numbers have been consistent for years now.

Cool.  Go for the record.  That requires playing in the game.  He got teammates looking to make themselves look better for next year too.   They helped him get his. 

I just don’t like the mentality.  NFL might should start paying more attention to how these QBs are mentally wired IMO.  Think that’s  going to be a bigger and bigger thing going forward in this era.  College era of team jumping for checks and guarantees.  I’m not trying to make it just about Cam.  Just my general thoughts well beyond him,

He played the first half and absolutely lit them up.

They wanted to get a look at Emory Williams in the second half. With the plays they've called for him it's clear we need a Portal QB. 

We'd have won this game comfortably if we wanted to. Strange one to lose.

I’m kind of glad Bryce played better later in this year. As much as I like Cam Ward, I wouldn’t want to pick a QB in the top 10 this year. Next year’s class should be much better.

I totally agree and we might end up seeing players in the playoff going this route one day.  Maybe not but who knows.  If it was my kid and he was a possible top 20 pick no way in hell I want him to play.  Especially a non playoff bowl.  This is the rest of his life vs a meaningless game.

I think Cam and Sanders are going to have to sit and reprogram themselves.  Both have just gotten way too use of holding the ball and thinking they are good athletes behind the LOS.  That might work in the BIG12 and ACC but it’s the recipe to get murdered in the NFL.  

Both got the talent.  But talent ain’t enough.  see Caleb Williams.
