You don't like attention. You're more laid back hire the coach who nobody knows.

I want the big hire. This is the big hire. Brings attention and eyes to the program. We need to be in the spotlight. This a new era time to take football serious. BB knows what it takes to win at a high level. Let him try and turn this shitshow around. If it doesn't work at least we tried something different.

All you care about is name value and star power. You have the mentality of a 13 year old girl. You would literally be trying to hire Taylor Swift to coach at UNC.

Change and Adapt it's a new era. Big names bring the recruits.

Hiring a no name HC who recruits don't know isn't helping UNC.

Get with the times or get left behind.

Just hire him already

I want to be relevant again.

Prime 2.0 with a different twist. Let's do it!

Prime 2.0 is a bit much, even for you. One is one of the best coaches of all time and the other is a self promoter.

LOL,,   But Taylor could have the best recruiting class ever.  bar none.  Recruiting is still half the game and I think she could bring in a hell of a coaching staff..  hmmm  the Panthers brought in a hell of a coaching staff a couple of years ago,  and we know how that worked out lol.

Belichick could strike fear in other coaches with his ability to coach defense.

Not my choice,,  but the names I'm hearing aren't great.

He's not like those other coaches. He already has experience with the NFL. He comes in with respect something those other coaches couldn't bring.

Do you call any other HC who leaves their job for a better opportunity dirty?

Did you call Harbaugh dirty?

Deion isn't the first HC to leave a school or NFL franchise he won't be the last. He owes Colorado nothing just like he owed Jackson St. nothing. Successful people get better job opportunities.

The Raiders are a much better brand than Colorado.

Dirty is saying you're in Jackson, Mississippi to build a program up, get some stars recruited, win ... then up and leave AND take your stars with you. Dirty is saying you're in it for the longhaul at Colorado, recruit stars and future stars ... then up and leave (if he does). That's dirty.

I've never said anything about Harbaugh so that's moot. I couldn't care less about the Harbaugh brothers.

Steve Spurrier, Nick Saban, Lou Holtz, Butch Davis, Greg Schiano, Dennis Erickson, Bobby Petrino, etc. You really think Deion is a better coach than these guys?

At first I was like hell no. But this a new age of college football. Big names bring your program attention. BB arguably the best HC to ever coach in the NFL. Having that guy associated with your program is going to bring attention and these you college recruits are looking for the hot spot. UNC will be the hotspot team if they make this hire. I think the program will set itself but BB brings respect. Go play for the HC who knows what it takes to coach kids who wants to get to that ultimate level.

Bring him on. Let's be relevant for a change!

He's not the greatest and I think that showed after bRady left. Brady got another ring. BB turned that franchise into a train wreck. He's damn good, but there's no downplaying the huge part of his success that was TB12.

As a Duke fan I would welcome this hire.  He has no idea how to navigate NIL or transfer portals, UNC would be a train wreck.

PS Don’t tell my wife I said that

It seems pretty obvious to me but a lot of folks get distracted by shiny objects.

I had Miami winning the ACC. I was wrong, but I always said the winner would get exposed in the playoffs.

Well, it’s a 12 team playoff.  You could never find even 4 that belonged most seasons.

4th in the Big12….isn’t a sign that being a social media, TV, talking head, self promoter is the new way.

Well considering he was a teen when Clemson was at the top of college football….he is still  pretty young man.  Which explains a lot in terms of his preferences.  I frankly get Whoa a lot more now.

They played one ranked team all year and lost them lost to two unranked teams and they're two star players who are carrying them are heading to the NFL and Deion will probably be moving on to his next grift.

I think the people excited about the possibility of Belichick aren't looking at this from the only eyes that really matter - under 20 year old high level football players. A 20 year old transfer portal kid was 13 when Belichick won his last Super Bowl. A 16 year old 4 or 5 star HS recruit was 9. That's a lifetime ago for those kids. They honestly probably see Belichick as that guy who was just carried by Tom Brady because they don't remember him at his peak. Belichick is a hard nosed no nonsense old school football coach who is used to being able to tell All Pro level NFL players that it's his way or the highway and winning those battles. How in the hell would he adapt to kissing HS kids' asses to beg them to play for him? It's just absurd. It would be a hilarious trainwreck to watch just please god let it happen somewhere other than Chapel Hill. Evidently his kid must be a trash ball coach if Bill can't land him a gig with his connections and feels like he has to go get himself another job to full bore nepotism his kid a job.

    • It's a good way to end up on the wrong side of one.
    • Did not participate:  CB Jaycee Horn (hip), LG Damien Lewis (illness/ankle), OLB Cam Gill (illness), RT Taylor Moton (knee), ILB Josey Jewell (head/neck/quad), OLB Jadeveon Clowney (elbow/knee), CB Chau Smith-Wade (illness/chest) Limited participation:  OLB Amare Barno (knee), RB Chuba Hubbard (knee), WR Xavier Legette (hip/wrist), WR Adam Thielen (hamstring), TE Tommy Tremble (shoulder/back), DE A’Shawn Robinson (knee), OLB DJ Wonnum (shoulder/knee)   Full participation: QB Bryce Young (hamstring), C Cade Mays (illness) OT Ikem Ekwonu (shoulder/illness)   details below The Carolina Panthers are banged up heading into the final two games of the season. The team practiced Thursday without five starters, including cornerback Jaycee Horn (hip). Horn, right tackle Taylor Moton (knee), outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (elbow/knee), and inside linebacker Josey Jewell (head/neck/quad) were seen on the practice field, but didn’t take part in team drills. Left guard Damien Lewis (illness/ankle) and nickel corner Chau Smith-Wade (illness/chest) were also held out of the workout. If Horn were to miss the Week 17 battle with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Panthers would probably need to rely on Maiden, North Carolina, native Caleb Farley, among others, to make up for the loss. Horn’s status for the game is in question after sitting out the second workout of the week. Moton and Lewis, if they were to miss the game against Tampa Bay on Sunday, would likely be replaced by Brady Christensen and Chandler Zavala, respectively. Smith-Wade, if sidelined for the game, would probably be replaced by veteran Dane Jackson. The Panthers are particularly light on inside and outside linebacker depth, so Clowney and Jewell will be worth monitoring on Friday. The team signed linebacker Chandler Wooten on Tuesday to serve as insurance for Jewell, while second-year outside linebacker DJ Johnson would likely get the call to replace Clowney if needed.
    • Well that was a dumb move by DK.
