What was he before?  5-7th round?  I saw him projected in the 2nd to the Broncos on tankathon.

Yeah, I think he was basically considered a late round flyer type of pick before. I don't think he'll climb all the way to the 2nd but I won't be shocked if he sneaks into the 3rd and I'll be pretty surprised if he falls past the 4th.

Tuimoloau and Sawyer are really solid edge rushers man.  Judkins and Henderson are good RBs too.  Egbuka and Jeramiah Smith  at WR. Steady QB with Will Howard. Ohio State is just loaded with talent everywhere man!!

The maybe only X Factor that Notre Dame might have is their QB is really good at running the ball. I think Penn State forced him to throw two picks.

Yeah if you came into this with no media bate you would think Ewers was a backup and Howard was a raw prospect with a potentially high ceiling.

And then you find out that Ewers was a #1 QB recruit and Howard is a super senior and you're like

pretty much he was a late round flyer. After than insane game he had against Texas, with that much publicity and almost single handedly beating a team with far superior talent by himself??

pfffft. He's probably going R3 at the latest now. Unless he runs a glacial 40 time at the combine.

Marcus Freeman is probably the coach of the year, but now it feels like this is Ohio State's year to win the title.

I think Ewers needs to regrow the mullet. He's like Samson. Cutting the mullet stole his powers. He plays like a nice clean cut kid you'd want your daughter to bring home. He needs to bring back the mullet attitude. If UNC goes after him I want it to be a requirement. Bring back the mullet or get fuged.

who is the next Alabama QB?

The battle will likely be between Ty Simpson, a former 5 star recruit and RS Sophomore, and Keelon Russell, an incoming 5 star.

Simpson is a holdover from Saban’s time. Russell is a DeBoer recruit. I don’t know how, or if, that will factor into the equation at all.

They could also keep an eye on the portal, I guess, but the pickings are getting slim there, and I definitely don’t want Ewers.

If all you know of college football is the playoffs….the QB rankings would look really different than the national narrative.  ASU and Clemson would have the dudes at QB.  SMU imploding is really the only reason you wouldn’t almost flip the rankings completely upside down vs what was sold.  Not saying that is reality either but everything does get skewed to the media darlings

Stand up move by Sarkisian to blame his players for not blocking right. Yeah bro, every play ends up in the endzone if it works perfectly as designed. Meanwhile, the OSU players are saying you very predictable go to that play in key moments and they knew it was coming. If the D knows exactly what's coming you're cooked. That's on you not your players.

If that was any other game he puts Arch in IMO to get that series of short yardage attempts done.

I think Arch got knocked the fug out on his one snap he played. The announcers never picked up on it and talked about it but I'm not sure Arch was even available.

    • Right. Draft pass rushers and a safety and bring in vets. I'm thinking aging vets that could mentor young guys for a year or two. Not sure Panthers can afford to make huge splashes in FA yet. Pass rush needs two guys like you said and one ball hawk at Safety. I think Richardson would do well as an in the box type.
    • There was blame to go around in 2023. Oline was very bad receivers weren't getting it done we were getting outcoached and unfortunately Bryce Young also played very poorly at times. It was a culmination of bad circumstances that was precisely why many people here myself included cautioned the at times overly lofty expectations and unearned conclusions being placed on Bryce by Panthers fans before and immediately following the draft. All the bluster of Patrick Mahomes comparisons gave way to shrieking about how we must surround him with weapons across the board for him to be successful. Well the Panthers have made very significant investments and will continue to do so in the upcoming offseason on both sides of the ball of that there is no doubt. Cam never realized his full potential as a passer most people have acknowledged that. There are different reasons for this but ultimately it's on him and I'm sure it's something he's reflected on. All I can do is hope Bryce Young will be putting in extra work in the offseason because it would be a real nice change of pace to start the 2025 season actually looking like a competent NFL team for a change. We'll just have to wait and see.
    • Agree with most of the points you just made. But that wasn't the discussion. Cam was an icon and a whole mood in the NFL. No arguments there.  The discussion was: who had the better rookie offense, personnel wise? That was the only point Ice was making, and that's the only point I'm making here. But I will say, offensively that is the best roster this team has had since then. Yeah the defense wasn't good though. Beason and Davis both were injured early in the season if I remember correctly. But they did have better edge rushers and DBs. I don't even remember the DTs then so they probably were bad. But they did have McDermott leading them along with Rivera. The draft class was - Cam. That's it.
