We're gonna cut Miles Sanders, Yosh Nijman, Shy Tuttle, and Dane Jackson. Even with the injury to Jonathan Brooks, Sanders is too pricey to keep. Nijman was brought in to challenge Ickey, but Ickey had played well enough to be considered our long-term LT. Tuttle is not very good and replaceable at NT and Jackson is too expensive for a #4 CB. I think we'll try to re-sign Michael Jackson and Tommy Tremble. -
Alright let's keep it real here. None of us can say that one way or another. All we have to go by is what Stroud and Young bring to the table from a physical standpoint and from a matchup standpoint. If we were to insert Stroud into this offense all along defenses instantly have to change their whole gameplan. He can make throws at all levels and in tight windows. He has a bigger frame so they can blitz all they want but he won't be taken down by a light gust of wind or getting a single finger laid on him. Would he have taken his lumps? Absolutely this is the Panthers. But he would be a completely different matchup behind center. That can't be understated. -
The season is lost. There is nothing new to learn about the Red Rifle. There is more to learn about Young, like is he going to level off and play consistently, or just poop the bed too often to keep. This is his final audition and I'm all for it. If he's crap, then we move up the draft and we can look at a replacement. If he's solid, then we have confidence playing him next season.
