Arizona St being in the playoffs feels so wrong.

Colorado decided to show up the last 2 weeks. Can't believe they blew it vs Kansas of all teams.

What I wish, is they would say screw the technical bowl requirements.....and have Colorado or Miami play a team built like South Carolina.  Let the nation see the two biggest holders of the ball vs a good SEC defensive front.

Why do you keep mentioning Miami I don't care about them lol

There is literally a scenario where Clemson could win the whole thing and South Carolina can pull a 2017 UCF and claim it for themselves as well.

Insanity.

I welcome such insanity.  I welcome the Gamecocks mental gymnastics as well. As Dabo said yesterday, they were the first 15-0 national champ, why not be the first 3 loss champ.  My favorite part is how self-aware Dabo is off the hate of him/Clemson....and how annoyed people will be if they even win the ACC.

but regardless, I'm pulling for the lowest seeds until they are eliminated.  Well, outside of UNLV.  I want Boise St in and see Jeanty vs a good D.

NFL board.  Ward and Sanders are projected as some variation of 1 and 2.  A matchup like a SC would be super relevant to the draft and NFL.....because it pits them against a team that would potentially take advantage at their perceived flaws (and they have the same flaw).   So, I use the 2 QBs interchangeably.  Both would provide that opportunity.

I mean people have been saying this draft was weak in terms of the QB position. This is nothing new. I also agree that Sanders holds the ball a lot. He's gonna struggle if he does that at the next level.

It's pretty simple if you take off the blinders. They lost to Nebraska and Kansas because they're just not that good. They're a borderline top 20 type of team that's good enough to play with the top teams if they're on their A game but are flawed enough to lose to practically anyone any given week if they're not on their A game.

You can literally say this about Alabama who loss to Vanderbilt.

What about Notre Dame losing to Northern Illinois

Any team can be beat unless you're Oregon.

I think the winner of the ACC championship should get the one and only playoff spot.

You can't have more than 1 ACC team in the playoffs. The conference is not that great to be getting multiple teams.

SEC/BIG10 isn't good enough to take up 8-9 spots.    Almost every year Clemson made it in the past, most argued the ACC didn't deserve that spot either.   Which proved itself to be SEC fan fiction. This is just the continuation of that same thing but trickled down.  There are no dominate teams in football this year.

Took UGA 3483 OTs to take down GT last week.  SMU should 100% be in, win or lose.  How would you jump Indiana over them that doesn't even play?

Oregon was losing in the 4th quarter to a one man show RB from the Mountain West.  That's why sports is fun.

    • Why would you use a post June cut on anybody? Why kick the can? Think we're going to the Superbowl next year?  Take the full cap hit in 2025. Go all in later, when the core is improved.
    • I cannot disagree with this---free agency does not have a lot of #1 WRs and those who will pimp themselves come with a huge price tag.  I also think that bringing in another TE who can make plays is something people might be overlooking--but not in rounds 1 or 2.  To your point:  If you go back to camp, we gave up on TMJ, traded Mingo, lost AT to an injury, lost Johnson due to a permanent head injury (joke)--and we were left with an undrafted rookie, a raw rookie first rounder, and a special team player who has overachieved.   We have 3 options--sign a high-priced #1 WR (and not many will covet Carolina); try our best to convert XL to that role and draft a Z WR, or draft either Hunter or McMillan to be the #1 WR, and I am not sure Hunter should be on offense. McMillan is a great red zone WR and runs the complete route tree with precision.  He will be a good one. McMillan, XL, AT, Coker and maybe a lower-tier free agent would be impressive, considering only 1 of your WRs is not on a rookie contract-you could argue that McMillan would be effective day 1, when an edge might take a year--spend your money on the edge or DT, not WR.  I see that logic. (Burden fans:  I like him too, and he can probably do more as a WR than McMillan--sweeps, screens--he can do it all, but I wonder if he is a true #1 or best suited for a slot role?  I wish I knew more about him--but if we trade back and grab him, I see the value--he might complement Young more than McMillan--don't know.) A DT like Graham would make our run defense ugly-good, and his pass rushing would make our edge players better.  However, there are players later in the draft who would not be as big a drop off.  I am not high on the edge players early (Carter is boom or bust to me), but I think round 2 has some players who will be good--but maybe not immediately. Concerning edge:  If you wait until round 2, the pick we got from the Rams is about 50.  According to Tankathon's big board, that is when you grab your edge--I do not see much difference here between the first rounders and second rounder in terms of production.  To me, at edge you need a kid with a nonstop motor, and these guys are high motor players with productivity to match:
    • If Evero is back   3-4 OLB in Carter would be a terror.as the stand up edge LB.   Evero play’s a lot outside of his base and a lot of 3-3-5.  With all safeties hitting FA.  They get him this mismatch chess piece at the position
