Just tell him he's done. We'll pay you out your contract and let you retire. We don't want to embarrass you or make it ugly. It's time to turn the page. It was time a couple years ago. The time was going into Drake Maye's last season. That was our opportunity to punch above our weight class in luring in another coach with a top NFL QB prospect as bait. Now you're back to where you were trying to lure a coach to a mid-tier tier ACC program for a rebuild project. Not exactly enticing for good candidates.
