well, Clemson had their window.  I was hoping for just a little improvement on O.  But Dabo just answered the question IMO about the pass game with the playcalling early in this one.

seen this movie to many times.  Ending of this movie is just too predictable.  Another wasted  Clemson D…that’s about to crumble with too much weight on them.

Burrow was like a 3rd-5th round pick before his 5th year. They aren’t going to have Beck throw bombs against Clemson’s defense unless they need him to, especially this early in the season.

I'm comparing them up to the same point lol

Holy poo… am I the only one that didn’t know Tyler Shough was the QB of Louisville now in his sixth season of college football?

I remember when people were really high on him coming out of HS.

That extra covid redshirt year, I think he could actually play one more as a graduate lol

That’s crazy. That Covid year has created so old players.

Joe Burrow didn't break anything before his redshirt senior year, in fact he produced a lot less at the same point Beck is now, We are half way through game 1, I can't honestly say I watched much of either of those QBs much in college....

legit point, people often forget LSU was down in the 2nd q in that natty….and Burrow then was sort of forced into a new gameplan deep.  Which worked in spades for him.

I don’t disagree with that.  I think they likely win the ACC.  I just don’t care much about that.  That’s the curse of success.  Expectations change.

    • I agree with this as well.  Just seems like how it was presented opened up the negative firestorm.  When questioned Canales had no other direction other than 'Andy gives us the best chance to win'.  I think it could have been handled differently.  It is all on how you word it.
    • Just 2 completely different situations. Last year Bryce probably had a real ankle injury and while he looked overwhelmed, he was still making a couple plays here and there so giving him a week off to rest his ankle and see how Andy preps and plays was good for him.  This year however Bryce has looked like the WORST QB TO EVER TAKE A SNAP FOR THIS FRANCHISE. If Bryce is ever gonna work out as an NFL QB, he needed to be benched to show him and the rest of the team that no matter who you are if you aren't playing to the standard set by the team then you will be gone. As my grandmother says this is Bryce's "coming to Jesus moment".  There's 2 ways this can go. Number 1 is that Bryce sits and pouts like a spoiled child who is upset that he got grounded and gets traded or released in the offseason or Number 2 this situation brings out the DAWG in Bryce and he comes out with that confidence we saw at Alabama.
    • our GM should have thought about a plan B during the draft .at this point if we sign another teams Qb it needs to be from their practice squad...just saying
