Adjusted 2024 Roster w/Projected Starters

I am most excited about the OL and the new depth.  This new addition Kingston is important because he is athletic and built like a guard.  That allows for each member of the second unit to concentrate on one position--he will be the depth behind Hunt; Nijman behind Ekwonu; Zavala behind Lewis; Raym behind Corbett; and Christensen behind Moton.  In the past, our reserves had to play 2-3 positions, and that is very difficult.  We will see if this works.

Excellent point. The starting 5 and depth behind it has been vastly improved.

No ISM for punt returns. I’m assuming Blackshear is handling all the return duties or maybe David Moore on punts?

who else was doing them in training camp/preseason?

the way it sounded from morgan/tilis they were looking at blackshear as being the return guy.

Ism was doing the majority with Blackshear missing some time. He and David Moore got most of the looks in Preseason, especially at PR….Blackshear has mostly handled KR, unless I’m mistaken.

Think about this:  Is this offensive line....

  • LT Nijiman
  • LG Zavala (2024 version)
  • C Raym
  • RG Kingston
  • RT Christensen

....better than our average starting OL  in 2023?

That is pretty amazing tbh. Raym could be the long term answer at C, I was impressed by him in the preseason. Also have to give a lot of props to our front office.
