We won’t find Nick Bosa but there’s a good chance we might find an upgrade on Leota

Here is the menu I created--not saying sign them all, but I think these were good values.  Caleb Farley has had some injuries and personal issues--I think he could use a change of scenery--a gamble, but he was a stud.

OLB K.J. HENRY

OLB BO RICHTER

OLB/ILB NELSON CAESAR

CB KEENAN ISAAC

CB ROCK YA-SIN

CB CALEB FARLEY

TE DONALD PARNAM

WR NOAH BROWN

DL MATT HENNINGSEN

Gimmie KJ Henry and Rock Ya-Sin.  That name is too damn good.

If you cut it's for good reason. I don't want any of those bums available.

no not necessarily. some get cut b/c teams are stacked at positions and they want the opportunity to thrive elsewhere.

NFL waiver claims may leak in about 2 hours, so I made a one-liner cheat sheet of all the waived/released players who could interest the #Panthers, ordered by need positions and alphabetical

Reminder: Carolina gets first dibs on any and all waiver claims, but vested veterans who were released can choose where to sign

OLBs
🔹DET Mitchell Agude: Big, long EDGE who had good preseason with Lions but just missed cut
🔹MIN Andre Carter II: another big, long EDGE who flashed with his team but just missed cut
🔹WAS KJ Henry*: big, long local product from NC and Clemson who flashed last season and in preseason
🔹DAL Carl Lawson: experienced, productive edge FA, who #Panthers tried out before but may be affected by injury
🔹DET Julian Okwara: another big, long EDGE who grew up in NC
🔹SEA Jamie Sheriff: big UDFA EDGE who led Seahawks in sacks during preseason

CB
🔹TEN Caleb Farley: former first-round pick whose career has been derailed by injuries, from NC
🔹CLE Justin Hardee: experienced, former Pro Bowl CB who some considered a surprise cut
🔹NYG Darnay Holmes: FA CB with experience but struggled last year
🔹TB Keenan Isaac: tall, long CB who graded well on PFF this preseason
🔹GB Kalen King: GB 7th-round pick whose career impressed in preseason
🔹PHI Zech Mcphearson: former 4th round pick who was squeezed out of Eagles DB depth and is a former Special Teams Player of the Week winner
🔹CHI Greg Stroman: experienced CB who had strong preseason but squeezed out because of Bears secondary depth

OL
🔹DAL Josh Ball: versatile, experienced OL who impressed with Cowboys this preseason
🔹CHI Ja'Tyre Carter: could be good OL depth, athletic run blocker who didn't allow much pass rush pressures this preseason
🔹CLE Wyatt Davis: personal favorite, former OSU OL who's bounced around the league

TE
🔹DAL Alec Holler: UDFA who plays special teams and had good preseason with the Cowboys
🔹SF Cameron Latu: former 3rd-round pick who was Bryce Young's trusted college TE
🔹CHI Tommy Sweeney: Big FA TE who was drafted by the Bills when Dan Morgan was in the front office
🔹SF Brayden Willis: semi-surprise cut who has upside but still developing as a blocker

DL
🔹MIN Jacquelin Roy: Vikings 5th-round pick last year who could be good DL depth

WR
🔹HOU Noah Brown: probably most productive WR on market
🔹SEA D'Wayne Eskridge: Seattle drafted him when Canales/Idzik were there, offers speed element and returner value
🔹NYG Isaiah Hodgins: big-bodied WR who was drafted by Buffalo when Dan Morgan was in front office
🔹TB Cody Thompson: semi-surprise cut who led Bucs in receptions in preseason. Hard-nosed WR with special teams value who has experience with Canales/Idzik in Seattle
🔹CLE Michael Woods II: impressive Browns WR this preseason who didn't play last season due to injury

LB
🔹NYG KJ Cloyd: tackle machine in preseason
🔹NE Joe Giles-Harris: highly-PFF graded LB who excels in pass coverage

RB
🔹SEA George Holani: personal fave who had productive preseason with 2 TDs
🔹NYG Dante Miller: nicknamed Turbo, he has great speed and impressed with Giants this preseason
