I was afraid of Spiller. I don't think he's going to do that well in the NFL. He'll be great in certain situations, but I'd just rather get a more complete back. Plus, Ryan Mathews fits in perfectly with the Texans.

edit CRAP I had no idea Best was still on the board!! :[ Oh well, Mathews is still an excellent back, just hated reaching so far for him. It's why I wanted to trade out of the 1st haha.

why didnt you take someone like Devin McCourty or Kareem Jackson in the

1st, then try to trade up for someone like Best or Matthews in the 2nd?

Honestly, McCourty/Jackson/Mathews are all very late 1st round/early 2nd round picks. and I would have selected Best but I assumed he'd have gone a lot earlier in the draft. That's what I get for assuming.

Best's stock has dropped like crazy with the new concussion concerns in the league. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't drafted till midway through the second round.

I don't see a problem with changing your pick since you didn't have the full 8 hours. I just wanted to speed it up and get my pick in before 7:30 because I had to be somewhere and didn't want to hold up the draft. Maybe RedMage can provide his input to this....
