For now, I really have to have the red dirt taken out of the biggest bed because it overflows and muddies my whole patio and the remnants of that stupid vine must go. The hosta can wait although if they can be dug up and replanted intact in the same place after resoiling that area, it would be great. And then just trim back the bushes till fall.

As for replanting stuff - there's a nursery that I like near me with great quality stuff. Most of that is stuff I can do myself or could do if the dirt were suitable. The stuff in the back bed is horrible - has concrete and junk in it from when the house was built.

My neighbors pretty much suck for helping with anything. I even walked around the backs of everyone's houses on Sunday looking for ideas and wasn't crazy about anyone's.

For the ones who've been to my house, the areas for plants is very small as I had most of my patio area filled in with concrete, which worked wonderfully having my pool last summer.

I need to get the dirt stuff taken care of so I can pressure wash before upgrading the pool.

one thing I am a little disappointed in...this is the offseason! For a couple cases of beer and maybe some burgers on the grill, the huddle could have tailgated at Cosmo's this weekend and gotten most of this work done in an hour!!!
