Bulger looking at the Panthers

Yeah but I could argue that if three seasons on the bench, learning behind guys like Jake and Vinny isn't enough then I don't know what is.

Again I ask, how much more mentoring does Moore need? If the last 8 games hasn't proved anything then what is the point of starting him?

I wouldn't argue with the fact that we should bring in a vet to back him up in case of emergency but to bring someone in to "mentor" him, I just don't agree with.

Nobody's trying to sack you on the bench.

No one would argue his readiness to start. Just that it would be good to have someone with experience on the sidelines to help out. jake had that in his first two years as a starter here as well.

Not being scared. Just practical.

Three years mostly on the bench and eight games as a starter isn't enough to call someone "seasoned" yet. There's still plenty to learn and plenty of situations Moore has yet to face.

I want someone on the sidelines who's been there.

Bulger is as worthless as Carr. There isn't a single qb available that I feel can be a mentor that is worth a damn.

I want a vet backup...mcnown would do.

I'd like McCown back because he knows the system.

But with that said, Bulger is the only guy among the current choices who's actually won a playoff game as a starter.

The one time Washington was even in the playoffs lately, Campbell wasn't the starter (Todd Collins). And I'm not sure McCown has ever even played in a postseason game. Bulger led what turned out to be a game winning drive in a playoff game a few years back. Something that, if I recall correctly, Moore has yet to do in even a regular season game.

Bulger has far more starting experience -- and success -- than McCown. If you want a vet backup, I imagine he's your best bet.
lol. Yes' he has more starting experience. I also seen enough of his games recently, to know he no longer is the player he once was...and he was never great to begin with. I'll pass.
