the rams are crazy if they take bradford and not suh. bradford has been injured for a good while now, nobody really knows how well he can play football right now. bradford also wasn't considered to be the best qb in this draft until he gained 10 pounds, which is just retarded. Drew Brees weighs like 205, nobody seems to question his ability though. even if they get bradford and he is a capable franchise quarterback, he's not going to do anything on the rams, they are pathetic. they should take suh and hope for jake locker next year. i really dont see suh going the reggie bush route (insanely overhyped, ends up being a role pl... ok hes a bust).

I will be shocked if he does not do really well at the next level.

The biggest thing with him, is it seems that his head is on straight. Either his agent has done a really good PR job, or this man really does live, eat, and drink football.

The rams would be crazy to pass over Bradford for a DT.

A franchise QB, yes, but I personally am unsure if Bradford is that. This years' QB class is weak and when the Rams are a few years away from being in contention, I'd rather take Suh. Suh has hype, but he also backs it up like a Warren Sapp versus a Vernon Gholston. Suh will demand double teams and he will be one of the top DL in the league in 2-3 years. Bradford is coming off a shoulder surgery with 2 tears in his throwing shoulder.... pretty big gamble with a #1 overall pick. Throw in the fact that you could get Jason Campbell for a 4th rounder, and then select Colt McCoy or The Golden Calf of Bristol with a 2nd rounder. I'd prefer a team (that is a lock for the top 5 next year) having the combo of Suh and either McCoy/The Golden Calf of Bristol/Campbell moving forward. At worst, the QB selections bridge the gap until they can get a better QB prospect. Suh is the top player available in this draft, IMO.

If I were the Rams GM I'd take Suh, then grab McCoy later in the draft. They have Steven Jackson and an average offensive line, right now they need to focus on defense IMO.

Their offense needs more work than their defense. Average o-line, no weapons at receiver, no QB, only 1 player on the whole offense that is even decent.

This is a QB driven league and you can't keep passing on franchise QBs if you're the Rams.

If I was the Rams, that's what I'd do. Or see what other FA QB becomes available.

The lions were interested in D-will, if the FO wanted to go that route and let jstew be top cat then we could trade dwill for their first and we could get suh. But id prefer to keep dwill

I love Williams to death, but if we could get Suh for him I'd fly up to Charlotte to help Deangelo pack.

    • Don't look now, but a 3-game win streak, including 2 on the road in back-to-back games. The Canes haven't won 3 straight since the middle of November, over 2 months ago.  Canes held Dallas to 23 SOG, with a lot of those coming in a late game flurry. Canes have had some difficulty keeping SOG down to where we're used to seeing them. The Dallas game was reminiscent of the defense we saw early in the season- standing teams up at the blue line and making zone entry a real pain in the pads.
    • Agreed with a lot of this. Couple thoughts, especially towards the OL/future cap things... First, I hope Bryce is good enough to command being paid a Top 5 QB salary. Great news for us if so. But as of now, I think he'd be in that mid-tier range, so that $60 gets cut to 30-40. Baker to Stafford range. Obviously the cap will go up and $60 might be the new mid-tier, but either way I think we're fine here. He either continues to ascend and gets paid Top 5 money because he's that good and thank God. Or, he shows he's Baker level, gets a competitive offer that's outside the Top 10, and we're "saving" money (but also paying someone who may not be the "guy" in that scenario).  The OL is the biggest thing going forward IMO. You're 100% right here about the need for an OL, paying them, % of the cap, etc. Which is why in the next couple of drafts, we HAVE to absolutely nail a couple OL picks. We can't realistically tie up that much money in our OL. So we better turn into the Cowboys the late 2010s and constantly have a revolving cycle of a couple highly paid pieces, with drafted guys who step up and take their place once we have to move on. One highly paid OT, one highly paid OG, and then find rookie deals or cheaper vets that fit well.  Point being, we're teetering on the edge of a few foundational pieces being here now. IF, and history isn't on our side here, we can nail the next couple of drafts...we're in a good spot when it comes to the cap and future. If we don't find a couple of defensive cornerstones and find reliable OL depth that can take over for Hunt/Moton/Lewis as they age or contracts balloon...that's when we're right back in hell IMO. No pressure, Dan.
