Goodell says veterans want rookie pay scale changed

The Players Union will fight this tooth and nail. They will argue that it is the owners who CHOOSE to pay the rookies the money they make.

I bet you will see "SOME" difference in this draft, I think in this offseason the owners HAVE worked together to begin sending a message to the Players Union.

Marcus Smith is a greedy Lawyer who has more pride in not losing a case, than ensuring the players have a job in 2011.

The owners are greedy and want more money in their pocket..

The medium here is that the owners not having to go broke on rookies, and veterans getting the money they are due. This can be done, but i think the owners are LOOKING forward to a lock out just TO PROVE A POINT.

The NFL just placed a bid to be a 60% owner in the new AFL- WITH that being so- guess what the NFL will do with the down time next spring? Promote the crap out of that league, and use its players as replacement players for 2011...

I doubt we get to week 1 of 2011 without an agreement, but I do think its going to get real ugly....

Fine....let there be a pay cut for rookies and make the owners sell cheaper tickets!
