Why do all these mock drafts have us taking a DT? Don't we have like 5-6 on the roster now and they are all young? Don't we only have like 3 DE on the roster should we be looking at that position and LB?

that depends on if you consider hilee taylor a defensive end. i think he's more of a linebacker. i say we switch him to linebacker, which would save us from picking one up which we will probably have to do. we could still use one more defensive end though.

Moore is the future here for at least the next 8 years, or until we feel Cantwell has been developed enough(if he is still here) and can be the starter. I'd like to see us sign Marc Bulger, and make everyone shut the F*** up about needing a QB. We need a Vet behind Moore, not a rookie or Cantwell. if Moore flops, Bulger wouldnt be the best QB to have, but he could win a few games and get us by to next years draft where we could get someone like Ryan Mallett or Jake Locker, but that won't happen..

Chris Simms or bring back Mccown would be my choices out of what is available. I think we need a good vet that knows he won't be the starter but still have the talent that if Moore goes down can start and play decent (prior to 09 Jake level). Simms has always seemed like he was right on the verge of being a good QB. Bulger I would be worried about having him starting if Moore went down. But I have confidence in Moore to hold onto his spot against almost any challenger we would bring in.

No I consider Hilee Taylor a after thought why is he still on this team? I hope he is not considered as our depht at DE or LB or we are really in trouble.

probably b/c none have proven they can are good enough to start for us? Our entire DL is weak but at least the DE have proven more in a Panther uniform as far as what they will be able to do for us.

whatever, gilyard is the next desean jackson, and we'd be idiots to pass on him. he's definitely no keary colbert. you can compare their highlight reels and you'll see the difference. gilyard knows how to catch the ball, and he knows how to get down field. some of you people just completely surprise me sometimes.

Gilyard is nowhere near as fast or explosive as Desean Jackson and he isn't half the returner Jackson was. To even suggest this is just foolish.

We will draft a WR that can run block. I expect us to draft someone like Decker. Drafting Gilyard is retarded for many reasons. He can't block, he's slow, he struggles to beat the jam, and he's not a good route-runner. You got a bust written all over him.

i'm just excited for the draft already. i kinda got pumped on a few of the prospects, but then to keep myself grounded, i looked at the archives in some of the draft prospect rankings just to see where Smitty was ranked compared to the other WRs coming out of college in 2001...and i noticed a list of nobody's in front of him. a long, sad list of scrubs and no names and dead nfl careers...

If Gilyard is comparable to DeSean Jackson we need to grab him. I cringe everytime i see Jackson catch a ball. This guy has it. If Gilyard can play lets make it happen.
