Ok let's get this right real quick, 1 the first lady was a crazy bitch, read up on the story more. 2 the aledged rape was supposed to happen in a restroom, a restroom that was only accessable by staff that needed a key to get into.

Why does everyone automanicly assume guilty.

Because he's been accused of the same thing twice?

Is he a thug yet or does that only apply to black people?

Although he hasn't been convicted, I would definately say he's displaying some thug like behavior. And by that, I mean after being in a situation with the first accuser and being acquited, you would think he would be more concious of his surroundings and behavior. Instead he seems to be emboldened that he is somehow above the law. If a third situation arises, I would definately declare him a thug.

do any of you guys even know what happened? you guys are hilarious! how do you get away with something twice if there was no evidence in either of those 2 cases and the police AND the plaintiff drop the charges.

The plaintiff hasn't dropped the charges in either case. Whether or not the police in the second case will be pursuing it further will be known tomorrow.

One chose not to pursue it through police, and there are plenty of rape victims who choose this route because of how defense lawyers treat them as if they were the bad person.

The notion that any and all women who accuse rich man of crimes are just gold-diggers is blatantly sexist, and honestly offensive. If you knew someone who'd been a victim, you might understand this (and yes, I do; more than one, sadly).

just because you know someone who this happened to doesnt make every man in every case guilty. the FACTS are that there is not enough evidence to say he did anything! it is he said she said. if he actually did do something there should be some physical evidence of rape correct? anyone , man or woman can yell rape when it actually wasnt. This is america! we have laws here! he is innocent until PROVEN guilty not just because someone says he is.

Good for Ben. Bitches are always after the money.

it happens to players all the time. half we dont hear about because players pay these chicks the money not to sue. it is slanted towards women in these types of cases unless there is absolutely no evidence. a girl could have consensual sex with a guy and get up and scream rape and the guy would be stuck.

Could still face league discipline, and it'd be no surprise if the victim sues him. Not to mention, regardless of legal finding, the mere fact of this incident makes his other lawsuit a bit tougher to win.

Personal opinion: I think he's guilty in both cases. Ben's a bad combination of moron and a$$hole. That kind has a tendency to think the rules don't apply to them.

Yea but money gets you out of alot of things. His lawyer was able to get Ray Lewis out of a murder, so Rape is just a walk in the park for him. She basically got Raped twice. Once by him the other by his lawyer.

Physical evidence can prove sex, not rape. The only other physical evidence there might be is bruising, which sometimes is there and sometimes is not. Nearly all rape cases come down to "he said, she said". For that reason, rape is a very difficult crime to prosecute.

In Ben's case, he's a famous guy in a small town. And it was reported that the officers "investigating" the case asked if they could have their picture taken with him. Does that sound like objectivity to you?

My personal opinion: He's guilty in both cases. It's my opinion, and as such, just as valid as yours. You have as much proof that he didn't do it as I have that he did. We just interpret what we know differently. As to the legal side, like I said, I know a thing or two about how difficult it is to prove rape.

And yes, not only did I know a rape victim, I married one. My ex-wife was a victim prior to our meeting. She even had a witness, but chose not to pursue it because she know what would happen in a trial. It's something she'll have to live with the rest of her life, and I have the memory of her crying all night because we ran into the guy that did it one day.

    • When you analyze what Tulsky has done the only positive was getting Ehlers, he blew the Gentzel signing, whiffed on Rantanan, signed Miller who is a terrible fit, never addressed the goalie problem, signing a declining Freddie instead, and wasted a ton of cap space this year with inaction. My verdict is he might be great at analytics but sucks as a general manager.
    • If you think the refs we have are bad, you probably don't remember just how bad it got the last time they used replacement refs... including an incident of a Packers fan ref massively influencing a game. The NFL, when you consider all the other things tied to it like TV rights, betting, stadiums (construction, ticket prices, heck even parking and concessions), plus merchandizing, is probably a trillion dollar industry. Give the refs what they want, pay them and let's get back to having games.
    • Probably.  You never know.  It always amazes me to think how many times they miss on first rounders (about 50%) and the number of misses increases every round.  Then there are UDFAs that make the team every year.  I guess we are always looking for the next gem--but most never make it.  Funny, I was at dinner last night and there was this big guy with a WCU shirt on.  I recognized him--that OT from Western that we gave a tryout last year or the year before--Smith.  He explained his experience--just wanted to see how he could hold up against the big boys.  He played a preseason game and was terrible, fwiw.
