Phillies are heating up, but the Braves need to keep winning. When the Phillies continue to get healthy, I highly doubt they're going to be any less of a threat.

Well that sucks....I can understand football trolls but usually baseball is not that way....but then again... it is the Internet.

I will say this, I think the Braves will defintely give the Phils a run for thier money this year. I am still not sold on the Braves offensively but that starting 5 ptiching rotation is one of the best if not the best in baseball IMO. I also saw Billy Wagner pitch for the first time the other night and I was impressed...didn't know he still had that in him.

Phils could be vulnerable this year as far as SP goes and thier bullpen is horrible so this season could get real interesting.

My brother is a diehard Braves fan so I will have to point this thread out to him.

Dangit! I hate to see Blanco go, but I like the Farnsworth addition.

Yeah, we moved out worst reliever and got Farsworth to take his spot, I'll take that every day.

We didn't really give up a lot in this trade and hopefully it will get us a spark we need. I hate to see Blanco go too.

I'm glad we didn't lose any of the other young pitchers that have been in our system. Had we gotten a bigger name, Minor would have been gone so we avoided hurting our future in the process.

Ankiel is huge for us too. Considering Melky just took the biggest poo in center field ever. God I hate him so much. 5-2, should be 2-2 at the worst right now. Still 2 innings, but Atlanta is deflated right now. God I hate Melky!

Some random thoughts:

Good to see Ankiel get some hits against a good lefty tonight.

When Prado gets back, we have to find some way to get Infante into the lineup every day, wether at LF or SS. You could argue Diaz deserves the same with the way he's playing.

Did we really PH Diory for Hudson?

I'm worried Bobby is going to run Venters into the ground with the amount of times he sends the rookie out there. Hopefully Farnsworth will help this but no sign of him yet. KK is buried in the pen which has to make you wonder how much longer he'll be here.

I'm tired of seeing A-Roid cut-ins of every at bat just to see him strike out. It really means nothing for him to get to 600 and I wish ESPN would realize that.

We tried to trade KK at the deadline and no one would take his fugging horrid contract, Seattle would have taken him for Chone Figgins equally insane contract and Figgins is declining at a fast pace and we would have owed him for like two more years after this year so I think FW may have made the right move believe it or not in not pulling the trigger on that trade! KK could go to Gwinnett and keep his arm stretched out and get some starts but some say that other Foreign clubs will look down on the Braves and not encourage foreign players to come play for us anymore if we demote KK to AAA.

I haven't heard a thing, he last pitched of the 30th and is on the active roster, so I would think he'd be good to go.

I live up in VA, so I watched it on ESPN, I was spoiled by the old TBS days...

Fug the mets, and more importantly, Santana. Every Mets fan I know is a fan only due to him, Reyes, and Wright. They don't even know the rest of the roster.

Farnsworth does need to make an appearance. I don't want to see Venters ruined either. Although, it is nice to know he's one of the best relievers in the game.

Speaking of strike outs, that ump is a moron. Granted, he called it both ways on those outside pitches against leftys, but it shouldn't happen. They're paid to know what the strike zone is. Pay better attention. I think their should be an age limit because its always the old as dirt umps that screw up calls like that.

A monster? Guy has hit 1 HR in the last 2 1/2 months and has had maybe a dozen RBI's while striking out almost 50 times during that time. Granted he missed 12-13 games but I wouldn't call him a monster.

BTW....didn't he go 0/3 with 2 K's last night? Sounds like his pop fly was one of his best at bats.
