How does waivers work in the NFL? Did we waste a waiver claim on him or are we still first in waiver priority?

We're first in line through week 4, then it goes by current years record. So we will still probably be first in line after that

I looked it up last week. I found that fixed waiver position ends 1 day after Week 3 games.

I guess there is a time period for waiver claims after play is completed for that week and then the new week starts.
