Game 79: Bobcats @ Rockets

HeatCheck

Recommended Posts

The Bobcats are officially in the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. They have a small chance of improving their seed and it all starts tonight. But the question remains, will Charlotte look to improve their standing or will the starters play limited minutes so no injury is risked? Either way it is nice to know that we can watch these games without so much stress. Go Bobcats!

Anyone know what playoff ticket prices will be? Cheaper ranging ones of course, I'm broke haha. I'm going to try to make another game soon since I've been up here in Raleigh so long.

er nvm, didn't see the thread 2 topics below this one

We beat them with Theo and Tyson last time, I think if we have at least 3 of our 4 bigs healthy we can beat them. If Diop can get healthy I think we have a nice shot, since that's 18 fouls to wear down Howard. It's good to have Nazr back.

Or that. At least we would have some confidence knowing we have beat the Cav's all year. We can't beat the Magic.

We beat the Magic this year bro, there are only a few playoff teams that we have not beaten. Out of all 17 teams in contention for the playoffs. The only 4 the Bobcats have not beaten are the Celtic's Maverick's, Jazz, and Trailblazer's.

I feel really comfortable playing the Magic. Howard is good, but he is only one man. Howard can not take on all three centers from the Bobcats. We can throw Ratliff, Chandler, Mohammad, hell even Diop out there. I like our chances verses the Magic much more than our chances verses the Celitc's.

Thats a good point. I forgot we had him in our win against them. I saw a stat that we have won one game in our last 12 against them. That's kind of scary but i guess we're 1-0 with this new line up. :)

    • A Quarterback in this mold is and was always going to take a long time to develop. I think he still has quite a bit to go.  We didn't draft him for his foot speed or arm talent. We drafted him to be the leader and commander of the offensive unit. and he is growing in that capacity on a weekly basis. Being smart and being able to make the correct adjustment and get your team into the right play and being able to get the ball to the right spot is the most important thing an NFL quarterback can do. You can scheme around it, you can simplify, you can try everything, but those skills make a dominant NFL quarterback more than anything else. More than anything else, that's what the Montana's, Brady's, and Manning's do. And those are the ones you want. What we are seeing with Mahomes is a guy that has the brains, unique arm talent, and above average foot speed. He may go down as the greatest. I don't see that in Bryce's future.  He's got a long way to go, but he's showing he's capable of being that game managing, offense controlling guy. While that type of quarterback is the most dominant, it also takes the longest to get them game ready, and if they don't ever get to a dominant level, they often don't pan out. So it is a risk.
    • This is fake news as Trump would say. Nobody’s comparing seasons the nfl pundits ESPN first take si.com and other outlets are stating what we’re saying in this thread it looks like he’s regressing. Now to address your statement their leading their division ummm have you seen their defensive rankings compared to ours. You’re cherry picking which you can’t do with me I’m not a poster who’s here to argue I like thoughtful in depth convos. They have the 4th ranked defense put that in Carolina don’t you think we’d probably lead our division this year realistically. With the offense you’ve seen the last four weeks being average let’s just say with a 4th ranked defense how’d do you think we’d look or how many more wins would we have? You can’t say oh but they still lead their division knock it off it’s bc they have a terrible division and an elite defense. CJ is dealing with issues Bryce dealt with bad Oline and he has weapons but they’ve missed time and when out he’s looked below average having multiple 2pick games, the man’s had a 4 sack game followed by a 8 I repeat 8 sack game that’s a bad Oline leaving him to regress so Panther Bryce fans can’t pipe down we’re just stating facts bc yes they’re winning with a elite defense give a little more context to your statements it Matters!
