The amount of people here who expect WRs to be instant impact players makes me laugh.....

Very few rookie WRs outside of the top 8 picks are year 1 monsters.... with a WR you usually don't know what you have until year 3.

That's honestly old school mentality. The past decade has seen a large amount of instant impact 1st, 2nd and 3rd round WR's.

With the typical sophomore slump after. This team has a thing for projects and the return has been incredibly low lately IMO

Seems safer to draft for immediate impact and potentially lower ceilings when your roster is completely empty.  A draft pick just needs to be replacement level to make the team or even start.  A lot of these boom or bust guys will never reach replacement level, and are useless.

First 2 picks are projects on a team in desperate need of any talent on the field. Not a good sign from the decision makers. That's how they don't get a chance to stick around long enough to see the projects develop anyways. Especially when the guys they could have taken are...just like last year.

No, that hasn't been typical, actually. Not for guys that panned out anyway. We have had some historic first year wonders that turned out to be busts but most of the elite WR's in the NFL currently made an impact early and kept getting better.

That is even crazier.
