Franks seems a kind of gadget player. He’s tall but a little light for TE. He played QB in college. He hasn’t caught a pass in 3 years- but has a few rushes.

interesting but unless he shows out on special teams he’s probably just a camp body

I'd like Feleipe Franks to be our new version of Joe Webb. Be our QB 3 and be able to line up on special teams and on offense as a TE or a big slot WR.

It’s interesting to note that our transactions look different than pretty much everyone else, even considering every team has 30+ extra players right now.

Yea odds are against them, but you never know. Panthers got two "jag" types as try outs and guess what, they are the top backups on the DL. Ray and Thurman gave solid snaps and you couldn't tell much of drop. DL is heavy rotated as well. Maybe the only luck the Panthers had last year getting good backups form a try-out.
