CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers have the most miserable fans in the NFL, according to a new survey that examined fan happiness of every professional sports team in North America.

The survey, which was organized by Casino.org, found that 65% of Panthers fans believe there's no chance the team will make it to the Super Bowl. Their doubts are backed up by oddsmakers, too. The Panthers have the longest odds to make the Super Bowl at 300 to 1 on FanDuel. Ouch.

On a scale of 1-5 with a 1 being never and 5 always, Panthers fans feel letdown frequently with an average score of 4. Over half of Carolina football fans don't trust the team's management. The Panthers last made the playoffs in the 2017 season. That six-year drought is the third-longest in the NFL, behind only ten New York Jets (13 years) and Denver Broncos (eight years).

On the flip side, the happiest fanbases are Kansas City, San Francisco, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Tampa Bay.

Panthers fan unhappiness, according to the survey:

40% of fans aren't happy with the team's current players

45% find game day expenses to be too expensive (tickets, merchandise, concessions)

55% don't find game day experiences to be enjoyable

when you don't win, game day isn't fun. nobody is happy.

it's not rocket surgery.

start winning games and most people will be happy. some will never be happy. it's their mission in life to be miserable and broadcast that misery to everyone on the regular.

but for the most part, winning cures the blues.

That rocket surgery stuff is where it's at. I was about to get into that field but opted to go get my doctorate of gummy bear making. To this day I still regret doing surgery on gummy bears instead of my true calling which was surgery on rockets.

No it is not.  I think the lack of confidence in the front office is worse than the lack of confidence in the team.  Every time I hear the name CJ Stroud I think of the brain trust who decided a small, average-armed QB who has always had a stud OL, stud D, stud WRs--was the best pick.  I still think he is salvageable, but I do not think he will be the best from that draft.

yeah, bryce is going to have to be exactly what he was hoped to be when he was drafted for that to not be true...the super processor or whatever that was. the guy is going to really have to show up in a big way. my confidence isn't really that high.

Its really not the losing part as things happen to nfl franchise, what pisses me off is the manner of how we got here.  The absolutely illogical way this team has been ran and put together.  Maybe it gets turned around but my hopes are not high

it does seem like we've been throwing darts drunk and blindfolded.

only consolation i have is that tepper keeps throwing. hopefully he's closer to hitting it right this year.

i just know i'm anxious to see what it looks like.

Even with a top 5 pick next year I don't have any confidence in the people Tepper hires. Over the last 6 years the Panthers actually have the same win % as the Jets, 30.69%. Over the last 5 years we are the worst team by 3 losses and the runner up was the Jets. The Panthers are the new Jets and that is really embarrassing so the average fan reaction is not at all surprising given that context.

Trading up to #1 to draft the smallest QB ever, then going on to lose more game then the year before can do that to fans.

It's a miracle they got the 2 wins they did. Was looking 0-17 in the face.

Then add getting shutout the last 2 games to end the season ...
