Who wrote the Romo story on the Huddle?

Not even a Carolina Panthers website can stop talking about the Cowboys. Sad...

At least we are not bowing down and acting like they are the kings of football like most people do. it would be one thing to find excuse for them...but we arent...well im not anyways

The interception was Witten's fault.

Can't blame a guy for throwing an interception where the receiver was supposed to be.

Tony Romo is probably the most likable QB out there, he just plays for the team most people hate. How many of you knew that he paid for the movie ticket of a homeless man, and also invited the homeless man to sit with Romo and his friend? He is a very good guy, and a very good QB.

While I hate the Cowboys like a case of jock itch, I will give you that he's a class act...

yours truly

thanks

(you can;t take it back now)

Yeah the stories have been getting a lot better. I always felt the same about Romo always tellin' peeps "just wait, he's gonna crack" but I can't help liking the things I hear about him. He's a good QB but not phenomenal like they say. He is extremely hyped. Stupid horse farmers.

It takes three or four years (usually) to see exactly how good a quarterback is. Sometimes he tears up the League early, someone in the League figures out his Achilles heel, and it takes time for him to adjust. Sometimes the League rips him apart early, he figures out what he's doing wrong and then the League has to adjust. Usually by year four both sides have adjusted and you get a true gauge of how good a guy is.

romo might be a nice guy but he isn't a good QB that i would want in clutch time.

he crumbles under pressure. he gets hit once and he spends the rest of the series in panic mode and makes monumental mistakes. he gets rattled easy.

overrated QB.

if he didn't play for the cowboys he wouldn't be getting the attention he is getting but he would still be a non-clutch average QB.

Word. He may be a nice guy, but that doesn't mean he is a great QB as the media love to blindly praise as. Remeber, folks: nice guys finish last. It work for Romo. :D :D

The only reason he's overhyped is because he plays in a big media market, gets along great with press, has jokes, and puts up decent numbers. Being overhyped is a product of the press, not the player. It's up to the player to play his game, regardless of what others may think. So I don't have a problem with him at all. And I'm not really sure why everyone hates the Cowboys. Here I was halfway through the season, enjoying our success, and all of a sudden there's a "Cowboys suck!" article on the front page. Wha? Like megadeath said, pretty sad we can't stop talking about them. At least in recent years the Patriots had a "Eff you!" attitude that made them easy to hate. Cowboys haven't been good since the early 1990's and we don't play them often, so who cares?

    • Yeah, Fitzgerald was smart to sign with the panthers--not sure how many NFL teams were in the Market....I was surprised to see Morgan re-sign Tuttle and Ray--even if Ray's contract is completely unguaranteed--but with Brown, Wharton, Brown III, Robinson, Cam Jackson--maybe Crumedy--Tuttle could be excellent depth--but at DE, not DT, imo.  Once again, it appears that Morgan may have found UDFAs who have a shot making the team--last year, there were 2 who contributed in a meaningful way.  This year, I see CBs Thornton and Reid with a legitimate shot to make the roster.  I also think LB Nomura has a legit shot (Morgan has to love this guy) as well as LB Bam Martin Smith from USC.  Finally, I think one of the safeties will stick. In all, I expect 1-2 CBs, 1 LB, 1 S, 1 OL, 1 K to make this team. Predictions:   CBs Thornton and Reid make the 53-man roster.  LB Tuasivi Nomura makes the 53-man roster as a ST ace and ILB depth OL Michael Tarquin may make the roster to groom as a potential RT replacement for Moton.  Moton, BC, and Nijman are on expiring contracts.  While I like what I am hearing about Kandra, the OG room is very crowded.  Lewis, Hunt, Zavala, Kingston--but he could compete for the 4th G job. S:  Trevian Thomas, Isaac Gifford are probably the front runners, but Jack Henderson from Minnesota might be able to win a S spot as well.  I expect all three will not make the 53, but the darkhorse name to watch is Henderson. Henderson's Pro day: Minnesota DB Jack Henderson had arguably the BEST overall workout of any Safety in this entire draft: 40yd. 4.47 vertical. 40” Broad. 10’8” Shuttle. 4.15 3cone. 6.70 Bench. 12
    • I’ve said this before, in retrospect I consider 2024 his true rookie year.  When I judge it from that standpoint there’s a lot to be encouraged and excited about. He wasn’t a top 10 QB in that timeframe but he definitely looked like a legitimate starting QB with upside potential. I do expect top 10 numbers this year.
