Clayton: Campbell Wants Carolina, Does Carolina Want Him?

We will only get Campbell if the Skins release him, no way we're trading one of our only 5 picks this year to get him. We wouldn't give up a 4th for him, we don't have a 5th, and I doubt the Skins would be willing to part with him for a 6th or a 7th.

On top of all that there will be several teams out there willing to give up a 4th or 5th rounder for him.

Larry Johnson was not held back by his team, he was held back because he isn't a good running back anymore. Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles rushed for 1120 yards in 190 attempts, which is a 5.9 average.

Willie Parker has lost more than a step, and injuries will hold him down. He may rush for 800/900 yards in a starting role, but he's not even close to being an elite back.

Portis has also lost a step, and as someone already mentioned, injuries don't help.

All of these guys will be rushing behind arguably the worst offensive line in the league, too. I say they'll be lucky to finish top 20 in rushing.

i dont think it is so much what these guys can do as it is the system that shannahan brings that churns out 1000 yard backs like donuts.

Interesting to hear fans of another team's opinions on Moore.

here's a post from a guy there...

Seriously though has JC ever had a better year than McNabb?

And JC goes to a new system, new team and suddenly has a break out year?

Really? C'mon Man.

sounds familiar.............

If I was Hurney, I would wait until the draft and see what is going to be available at the selections. For example, if the Panthers are picking in the 2nd and they can already see a couple of picks before hand who is going to be available at WR then ask the question, who would be the better pick, Draft Pick WR whoever or Brandon Marshall? And no that is not as easy an answer as you may think.

Same concept can be applied at QB. If the Panthers are looking at Tony Pike in the 4th and Jason Campbell is still available, make an offer and see what happens.

To fans, Marshall and Campbell seem like better options than WR X and QB Y coming straight out of college. I'm just not sure if NFL front offices see it that way as well. But as a fan, that is how I would appoarch this draft.
