This Copa America has been wild with all the physical games, the refereeing "mistakes", and high tension throughout. It just boiled over last night in Charlotte.

Some bald old guy tossed a drink on one of the players which led to the ensuing melee.

Tepper failure made him top news on BBC.  Apparently Columbia fans begun abusing family members of Uruguayan players so Uruguayan players lead by world star Darwin Nunez who plays for Liverpool charged Columbian fans.

 

Uruguay captain José María Giménez said the players were trying to defend their families, describing the situation in the crowd as a "disaster", Reuters reported.

He continued: "There was no police and we had to defend our families. This is the fault of two or three people who had a few too many drinks and don't know how to drink."

Núñez was seen hugging his son on the pitch after the altercation.

Yeah this may not have been Teppers fault directly but whoever organized this and was in charge of security its a bad bad look took forever for security to even arrive.  With the way people get sloppy drunk at all these events cops should be everywhere throughout the game.

Hooligans! I have heard that word so many times in the same sentence with soccer. And that’s just the UK where they use that word. I don’t know what they call them everywhere else. 

Soccer culture is riot culture looks like to me. We have enough of that crap here. I am not joking, you never see any of this type of stuff in our country with the NFL.
