You know what i hate about madden 10???

Recommended Posts

i love my franchise. Matt is my QB, he's an 88 right now and is pretty damn diesel. I drafted some beastly wide receivers over the years (Jehuu Bacon, Joker Davis, Tez Mitchell) to all compliment smitty, and they are all so good now that I could even release smith and still have the best WR core in the league (I won't though, I heart him).

A trick to make your D-line better is to draft a LB and convert him to either LE or RE. they jump as much as 8 points overall. They are incredibly good if they are fast too. the super slow strong ones can be converted to DT (even though they are really tiny) and they turn out very good.

A lot of CBs turn out to be better at FS, and Jon beason ends up a 99 at SS if you ever wanted to move him back there.

I also have like 80 million in salary cap room by re-signing my players after I convert them to punters or kickers. They turn into 12's overall and are signed for the league minimum without a bonus, so if you want to move up in the draft or trade your players away, you won't get a cap hit. I just change them back to their original position after I sign them.

I Do the same thing with draft picks, I sign them to a huge deal with no bonus, Change them to punters or kickers then release them, sign them back on the team to the league minimum with no bonus and change them back to their original position.

Also, always sign your picks in the 5th or later to 7 year deals, it's faster than doing everything I just said and they take their pay without any bonuses in those rounds.

Trade peppers away your first year to the bengals for keith davis and a first and second round pick, convert him to RE, and bam, you have a peppers replacement for a fraction of the cost. you can also usually trade one of your players for 3 draft picks, whether they be later or sooner in the draft, and stock up your team. you can only have 10 picks per year though.

on week 6 of your franchise, find out who the worst team in the league is by chacking the standings, and you can trade your draft picks for theirs straight up (1 for 1, 2 for 2, etc.). It's a great way to have an awesome team as well as get high draft picks. if you don't want to draft one of the guys you have scouted that early in the draft, trade down for someone else's first round and maybe even a later round or a position of need.

That's about all i have for making your madden experience better and your team more dominant. hopefully it helped.

I got a old nintendo at work here, I play mario 3 all day and it never gets old. I do play Madden a lot but they just don't make games like they use to.

I've got a first gen SNES that I still play Super Mario All Stars on. Old Nintendo consoles were built like brick shithouses-that thing has had drinks spilled on it, been stepped on, dropped, and it's never missed a beat.

Gather round, kids. Settle down now. And no hitting. I'm going to tell you a story about the way that the consequences of Madden 10's bitter, frowzy apothegms, particularly from a moral point of view, are not favorable. For starters, Madden 10's credos do not represent progress. They represent insanity masquerading as progress.

In the simplest of terms, I have a dream that my children will be able to live in a world filled with open spaces and beautiful wilderness—not in a dark, unscrupulous world run by prissy quacks. Fabianism and Jacobinism are not synonymous. In fact, they are so frequently in opposition and so universally irreconcilable that prudence is no vice. Cowardice—especially Madden 10's disreputable form of it—is.

I don't mean to condemn anyone's beliefs, but Madden 10 acts as if it were King of the World. This hauteur is astonishing, staggering, and mind-boggling. Madden 10 just keeps on saying, "We don't give a [expletive deleted] about you. We just want to strap us down with a network of rules and regulations." In the end, the dernier cri among Madden 10's advocates is to cause this country to flounder on the shoals of self-interest, corruption, and chaos.

This is what happens when One Company get the Rights to the NFL and destroys all the good games that were kicking its ass. Madden has not been good since 05. Thats when they had to do actual work and not just recycle the same old stuff. 2K sports was kicking its ass.

I have been playing Madden all off season on franchise mode. I love re-building franchises . I hope the they really build upon the franchise mode in the next madden.

There needs to be an overall score for player scouting and moving a franchise in a pain. No I dont want the Turbon Sharks logo for my team in Wisconsin!

it allows you to basically have a 90 overall starter at every positions and have millions left over to throw away into your team/coaches/stadium/the biggest named free agent.

I hate stacking my teams a certain way just to take advantage of the system.. one thing I hate about not being able to play others (haven't invested in a LAN adapter for xbox) is knowing how the computer reacts (for the most part)..

I hate how ridiculous it is to try and intercept the ball now.. definitely making me work harder..

Linebackers work well at LE and RE in franchise mode (the CPU generated ones) and LE/RE/LB work well for DT as well. I've got an 86 speed, 86 strength 6'something 260 pound LB playing at RE at 99 overall. They are as big and as good as the actual DE's you can get in the draft. Thats the key to my strategy: draft lots of LB's and OL. Offensive linemen take some time to develop, it's hard to find any decent DT at all (hence converting DE and LB). You also have to spend high draft picks to get good DE's, so LB's work in that position well too. Generally, every other position is pretty easy to come by. CB, FS and SS are all pretty hard to draft, but you can usually scrape together some really good safeties and if you can establish a decent CB corps they will last a while.

Also of note...

In those rookie classes you are talking about, there are not-so-cleverly disguised real life players from college and NFL greats...

Noah Jevine = Noel Devine

Tim Tribow = The Golden Calf of Bristol

Those are two that I can think of off the top of my head, but you can look them up somewhere, I'm sure...

    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
