Panthers interested in Jason Campbell

Would you rather be throwing to Lee Evans and handing off to Marshawn Lynch or Fred Jackson, or handing off to DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart and throwing to Steve Smith?

Seriously?!?!??

Doesn't matter if you're not the starter.

Well thats a obvious answer. But a more appropriate question is, would you rather go to the Bills who you most likley would start for or the Panthers who you would most likely not start for?

And I just think it's kinda funny when people say Campbell sucks when our only QB is a guy who hasn't even started a full season.

Moore hasn't started a full season, so that means Campbell doesn't suck.

The logic there is astounding.

I wish I could find a video of Campbell's screen pass last year to one of their running backs. Was arguably the worst pass thrown in the history of football. It went literally 15 yards over his head. Then the back looked at him like "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

Do you honestly believe we're just going to hand the keys to Moore without giving him some competition?

I love Matt as much as any of you do, but I'm not convinced he's the man without question...

Do you honestly think they let go of Jake Delhomme - an established starter who not only knew the system, but had success in it, and was very well liked by his teammates - for the stated reason that they wanted to establish that Matt Moore was now the guy, just so they could bring in someone else who had no familiarity with the offense, the receivers or the coaches and make that guy the "competition"?

Seriously?

Backup? Yes.

Competition? No :nonod:

Yeah, Delhomme was done in Carolina. We need options as well as competition for Moore. Moore might have Pro Bowl talent and lead the Panthers to the Lombardi. Or he could blow out his knee game one or simply fail. Having talent like Campbell, or a QB in the draft is smart and good planning for the unknown future.

Seriously.

Again, backup, not competition. Check the Yasinskas story.

sounds like he'd fit right in with our screen game.

That made me laugh some think Campbell is better than Jake. Better than Jake of 2009, yes. But in term of career, that's a big question mark. But I can say Jake of the first few seasons with us is better than Campbell. And some need to quit that "Smitty always bailed out Jake" excuse, 'cause they haven't watch the 2004 season when 14 of our starters were done for the season & Smitty was one of him at all.

And how does Jake not have maturity compare to Campbell? Jake isn't childish or anything. Just because he argue or complain doesn't mean he has no maturity. He is just compeitive & want to win. Smitty is the same way too sometime.
