Panthers interested in Jason Campbell

Clubsi???

only other place i use it.

The quarterback's profile, not yours.

Chances are much better that he is what we see now. He's a guy who is somewhat efficient, takes a lot of sacks, doesn't throw many interceptions and doesn't make many plays. Wholly and completely average, and with no upside or room to grow.

Guy's a 6th year. At some point, sack up and get after it. I also like the idea that somehow, since he struggles so much with change in system, that transplanting him doesn't mean even more struggle.

Pretty much.

The Panthers are a team that can be scared off by a disaster.

- no first round QBs since Kerry Collins

- no franchise signees since Sean Gilbert

- no more big forays into free agency since Wahle/Hartwig/Lucas/Kemo

"No reclamation projects since David Carr" could join that list.

As a side note, none of the local guys have any inkling that the Panthers interest which was "reported" on the Dan Snyder owned radio station is legit.

Yasinskas and Gantt have said they should be (Gantt's in "anyone but Moore" mode, I guess) but no one has any tidbits that give credence to it.

In weird way... I like Campbell too.

Being in Richmond, I'm surrounded by Redskins fans and at lot of them constantly complain about Campbell, but what I see is a good QB who isn't in the right system.

Washington is a mess. I refer to them as the Raiders of the east coast!! They spend a ton of money, getting all of these expensive pieces to a puzzle but none of them fit together.

.Report: Five teams interested in Jason Campbell

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on April 5, 2010 10:19 AM ET

It's only a matter of time before Jason Campbell gets traded from the Redskins.

ESPN 980 in Washington reports there are five teams already interested: Buffalo, Carolina, Oakland, Jacksonville & an unknown team. .

My question is. Who is the source. Some idiot that thinks we need a QB. I wouldn't put to much stock in it unless we heard it from our Front Office. Half the people at ESPN don't know we have a QB since Jake is gone.

To break it down for you, NFL Network was first to say this when Jason Capa Fora was asked on TA who he thought would be interested in JC and he answered by saying that Buffalo, Jacksonville, Carolina, and Oakland are all in the market for a QB and he thought that either one of those teams would be a good fit for him.

ESPN is basically feeding off of other sport networks, take it with a grain of salt

If this happens, I am a goddamn genius...

I ain't even gonna go back that far and dig up those predictions...

You know how it might just play out... We send Marshall to Philly for a 2nd or 3rd and a 4th or 5th, and in return send that 4th or 5th to Washingon...

It's almost going to be a 3 way trade involving McNabb, Campbell, and Marshall...

IF it works out like that...

Yea but you were way wrong about peppers walking so that makes you 1 for 2 if your right.

Hey! I nail the draft pretty much every year... I called McNabb to Washington... I might be right about Campbell... I was right about Trgo being gone... I still got the Richard Marshall thing outstanding as well as the trading of next year's first rounder (or some other movement to get into the late 1st/early second)...

Hell, I may be wrong sometimes, but If I can keep it about 75%, I feel pretty good!

:)
