Pats fan rooting for Panthers

I'm a diehard Patriots fan, and I wanted to let you know I'm rooting full force for a Carolina Panthers Super Bowl run.

I was at Super Bowl 38, and the Panthers players, coaches, and especially fans were classy before, during, and after the game.

My hat's off to you, and send those Cardinals packing on Saturday!

I have a good friend who is a Pats fan, and it seems we both have had to start putting aside our hate for each team in order carry a conversation without always arguing.

That's interesting. I don't have any special animosity for the Panthers -- most of the time we will only play once every four years. I save all my special hatred for the Dolphins and Jets!

As a Pat fan it must chap your ass that you had 11 wins and then watch the falcons and fish (among others) go one and done. Even without the playoffs you had a pretty amazing year with all the adversity, unknowns and the cheating curtailed. I'm sure you guys will be back next year though. (to the playoffs....not to the cheating!)

yeah, I often mean to ask him where his hatred comes from.. I think it may go back to he had to defend that championship win while we gave you all a run for your money and gave the public one of the best super bowls in recent history (up until last years superbowl)... Obviously, it's just a theory, I say this because he is the type where that would be reason enough for him to serve up that hate.

Mine simply comes from us losing to you all. It's pretty simple, lol..

I also went to the Super Bowl against the Eagles. And while I respect the Eagles players and coaches, the fans were brutish drunks without an intelligent thing to say. They chanted for T.O. yelled "you have no chance" a lot, but not a single well-considered opinion or fact the entire time.

I enjoyed talking with Cats fans before the big game, and threw down a few with them after it was over. So yes, you guys made quite the positive impression.

It was unpleasant to be out of the playoff with 11 wins, but I don't think they should change the rules. Everyone knows the score when the season starts, and the Patriots lost two winnable games during the season (Jets and Colts), so they've got nothing to complain about.

But it does make me wish even more that they'd finished the job with another Championship last year
