(By Darin Gantt, [email protected]) The last three months have brought loads of emotions for Carolina Panthers linebacker span class=boldJon Beason/span, all mixed. But as he returned to town last week to re-join his teammates, he's put the negative behind him and is focused on what he thinks will be a successful transition.p/Despite the losses of players such as span class=boldJulius Peppers/span, span class=boldNa'il Diggs/span, span class=boldMaake Kemoeatu/span and span class=boldDamione Lewis/span from the defense - his defense - Beason said there's an electricity surrounding what's left.

"That's nothing but fuel to my fire," Beason said. "Through my whole offseason, all my training, that's motivation. I'm going to make sure nobody forgets my name next season. I'm feeling good now, I feel bigger, I feel stronger than I have at this point.

"That's why I'm looking forward to this season so much. The word I keep coming back to is dominant. I want to be a dominant player this year, and I'm going to do what I have to to get there."

Pretty sure he just secured the spot as my favorite Panther.

I hope his motivation so far this offseason continues into training camp and the regular season, and I hope that the younger players become just as motivated...Like he said competition is a good thing, and for Connor and Anderson to battle for the starting role should make them better athletes all around. (Still want Connor to be the starter though)
