i have no use for something like that right now but i think the technological concept of it is ahead of its time. 10 years from now the tablet era might be in full swing

apple is just preparing itself for the future so they can work the kinks out now and by the time tablets are a dependable item they'll have the market share because they've already been working on it for so long, this ipad will only be the precursor to something it will pale in comparison to in the future.

Ok...if you can give me the iPad, with USB peripheral support for expanded storage, wifi-connectivity to media devices so I can print/scan stuff, and make it a viable laptop replacement. Then I might consider it.

I messed with one at Best Buy the other day... it makes a ton of sense for people who stand or move around on the job... librarians, teachers, lab workers, etc.

For someone that can sit at a desk however, I can't see it being better than a standard laptop.

look, i dont think most people are buying this thing for work. I see it as mainly a media consumption device. Strictly a luxury.

I like to surf the web on my couch and it appeals to me in that way. Or, using it on a flight...etc.

i do wish:

it had flash

it had a camera for video chat.

im thinking of getting one.
