Say what ya want, but I'm glad be got him.

I'm not to sure how worried I am about his weight. He doesn't have to be big, to play the run well.

Looking forward to him starting this season.

I wish this were true but we say it every year and it dose not happen. He has all the skills but something is missing. He is def good at the run though. I am also wanting to see what Taylor dose. He fell off the depth chart last year but he had a promising rookie year.

major thing missing is PT. he should be getting it this year. he'll probably see another 250 snaps easily. brown should be seeing about that many as well. with those snaps come more sack opportunities.

between brown and johnson i can see brown coming out of the season with more sacks but both of them should be getting at least 3 more sacks each. combined they could be pushing 20...probably closer to 15, though. add in a full and healthy season from davis who could have gotten another couple had he not gone down so i would mark him for about 5 and i'd expect the same from brayton. plus beason will have a few and then we will still have someone else playing DE to add in the number. get a couple from the DTs and a couple more from the secondary and i'm thinking that matching last years sack totals won't be all that difficult.

anyway...i'm thinking johnson, brown, and brayton will all be stepping up and there will be others contributing to help take up the slack left behind by peppers.

he gets it. best part of the article imo was him wanting this leadership role and to keep his team mates going full tilt. one guy taking plays off (when its the guy your best player) is just as contagious as a guy firing up the defense after every play. 1 thing i love about ray lewis is him getting his team mate amped and going full tilt all day. not saying beason isnt, but the dline could use their own motivator (last imo was buck).
