I really liked XL.  But I'm not expecting much from him this year given he is paired with Bryce.  I just think for XL to shine with his talents.....he needs a downfield gambler.  I think Brooks will slowly be brought along and we don't see his debut until in season.     That's our top 3 rounds...and really where you would be looking for rookie impact.  Rest should more than likely be developmental and have minimal impact.

So I expect fans to get down on our draft picks early.

I think the G play could get praise but C being such a wildcard (as well as Canales' run game) has that as not the lock I think some have it has.  Plus, I think Bryce simply can make the OL look bad given his size the problem he has in so many traditional settings/placement in the pocket.

I don't know what to think of XL. He is very much in the mold of our two current bust WR's, TMJ and Mingo. Until we get a project guy like that to pan out, I am not gonna really expect much.

This is a throwaway season for Brooks due to the injury. That's really a 2025 determination in my mind. Doesn't really matter to me anyway. RB's are a dime a dozen.

As for the "project" guys. Wake me when one of those pans out. It's probably been more than a decade since that happened here.

The free agents mught fare better. If that's the case, then at least we only need to worry about cleaning up the draft evaluation.

I don't expect our drafts to get better for many more years. That is going to take a concerted front office overhaul and by a competent architect. I don't really anticipate that. I'll likely see it in my lifetime but it won't happen in Tepper's lifetime.

The offense was bad all together and that was not just on Bryce. This isn’t Bryce specific but the nfl gives up on QBs too easily, you can point to Tua and Goff as examples.

The adverse to this list is quite longer.  QBs in this league typically get a long long leash to show if you can play or not

As some did last year, people seem to forget injuries. The OL fell apart with a lot of injuries. We do not have any depth and injuries happen. 7 wins feels like a pipe dream where all the question marks get answered.

With our talent level and not getting way luckier than average, I’d say 4-5 wins.

I'm expecting him to get more work at kick returner with those new rules than actual targets in the passing game.

I admire some of the optimism, but I'm going with 2-4 wins.  Anything beyond that is overachieving for next season.  It's really a recovery year for us.  Maybe we can get lucky and have a few things work out along the way.

I think 4 with some luck. I don't see us putting upwards of 25-30 points consistently so it's gonna take some winning of turnover battles to squeak out some wins

I predict this ain't it either. Whatever wins they get will come early...unless they pull the Young plug and let Dalton try to go out with a bang.

Here yall go with this dumb poo again. There is ZERO reason to play Dalton. If Bryce sucks (he won’t), you let him play you into his replacement.

The fact yall are slurping Dalton is part racism and part brain damage.

Mingo comes in with a higher ceiling IMO than the other 2.  Hard to disagree we have lacked diversity as they are all fairly similar in style.  Gotta just hope the law of averages eventually applies and hit on one.  Would be nice to hit on the one with the highest ceiling.

SMH. Is racism your go to counter? Dalton had more yards in one game than Young did in any of his 15. Young’s game against the GB was the only comparable game but again that was 1 in 15.

I agree with you that if Young sucks, he should stay in and lead us to the top pick again. That said, people wanting Dalton are not racist, they think he gives us a better chance to win and based on last year they aren’t wrong.

    • Real question would you trade Melo for Steph? No clue how the money would work but lots of people are turning on Ball and Curry probably has 2 decent seasons left? Warriors are going to be a fringe playoff team next year and might be looking to start over.
