At the end of the day it’s just how Clowney compares to Burns. I would think Wonnum is better than YGM at this point in his career and the rest are rotational rushers that would be a huge bonus if any of them can produce.

Well the hype was generational pass rusher.  Like hall of fame level player.  He's not that good but he is a good edge.

They obviously focused on stopping the run, if that's effective they would have more opportunities at 3rd and long pass rushes. Evero also is willing to send like 5,6,7 dudes on a blitz when he gets the chance. I'm not expecting any one player to consistently pressure the qb off the edge though

Pass attempts is not the same as pass rush snaps. 
 

wonnum was one of 51 players with 300 pass rush snaps. His pass rush pressure rating was 43rd out 51, his win rate was last. He’s one of the most inefficient pass rushers in the nfl. 
 

Burns according to advanced stats on ESPN had 189 pass rush snaps and was doubled on 14% of them.

 

but let’s not compared Wonnum to Burns, that’s not fair to wonnum.
 

compare him to YGM.
 

YGM - higher pressure rate, better win rate, better run defender. 
For those PFF people, higher overall grade. 

so yeah….

I never saw a cooler play than in that bowl game. He never really lived up to that but hey, still makes some plays.

He was like, ‘nah fug y’all we win’ end of story.

A generational player does not come around every year. They come around once in a decade, maybe two decades.  So I do not agree about generational prospects. You cannot predict them, they rise to the top when the games are played.

      Yeah and he succeeded at an even higher level in LA with an even better surrounding cast. Goff is a guy that isn't really able to dramatically elevate players around him but he can make a good situation even better. He is capable of that. Some QB's aren't. I am not sure Dak is able to do that and he is in a similar "class" as Goff, IMO.

      i think i could handle that for a year. beyond that....i don't know.  back where we lived, when we had a few inches of snow, it might have been a couple feet because we weren't getting out and doing anything. i remember times where power would go out for days on end. we had propane and electric heat, depending on the floor. basement (had a couple bedrooms and a living room and kitchen down there) and main floor had gas logs. main floor gas logs was enough to take care of the upstairs, so we could stay warm and cook on the grill when we needed. we had a well so that was always an issue when the power went out. had to make sure tubs were filled with water for the toilets and we had gallons of water for drinking and cooking available. always had to make sure we were ready. that wasn't always the case. we had a couple moments where we were going through propane quickly and because we were dealing with the worst propane company in the world (amerigas) they wouldn't get out to put gas in our 900 gallon tank. made for some nerve racking moments.  i know y'all were probably a lot more able to handle that kind of thing, but after the little bit (comparatively) that we got here i just have no desire to get trapped again. maybe for a day or two a year get snowed in and i'm good.

      I think he is just drawing a DC to them line and that's about as far as his thought process went. It makes almost no sense outside of that. Also, it doesn't make sense for Pittsburgh or Seattle at this juncture either.  I think our "veteran" pool is basically gonna be the Dalton/Flacco tier or the "pick your poison" options of young busts(Jones/Z. Wilson) or wild, TO prone gunslingers(Darnold/Winston/etc). We have the option to pursue I genuinely believe(depending on the way the rest of this season goes), we either draft a QB in the top 10 or resign Dalton. Outlier third option on taking one of the wild gunslingers that Dave feels like he can work with.
