Has anyone here ever met David Tepper in person?

I’m just curious what kind of person he really is. I saw some posts from people on the /r/nfl thread on Reddit about the panthers stadium proposal debacle and some claimed they had met him in person and he was, in fact, kind of a douche. But I’d like to hear if anyone here has actually met him? Maybe it’s not as bad as we think?

What do you think the odds are that he ISN'T a douche?

Have you read his background? Remember how he intentionally mispronounced the guy he fired last year?

I would geniunely be shocked if he wasn't a massive douche.

My stepfather was given tickets to a Panthers/Saints game in the dookie dome down in Nawlins' last season on a gambling trip he was on. They sat in the box seats and Tepper was beside them. My stepfather doesnt really follow football and had no idea who he was but my mother told me he shot the poo with him most of the game. My mom informed him who he was after someone in their group told her. He said he couldnt tell he was that loaded with cash. He claimed Tepper seemed like an intelligent dude but he said he was super friendly to him and was actually a pretty down to earth normal acting guy. He said he would have never thought that guy was Tepper who was so rich. Thats just what I was told and I know Tepper has done many dumb things and put his foot in his own mouth many times but by all accounts my stepfather thought he seemed like an okay guy from the conversations they had during that game.

I think both of these things are true.  In neutral situations he is probably an ok guy to shoot the breeze with.  But anything to do with business he has to be alpha douche.

Hey, ‘they' say that many successful people are psychopaths. ‘They’ also say that psychos can be quite charming.

The things that guy has done seem to confirm he has an all time huge ego to the point it is a real problem. If you cross him.

Buying the guy’s house and tearing it down? I rest my case.

That just seems like a self owning to me. I'm selling the house. I don't care what you do with it. You bought it just to tear it down thinking that would piss me off? Okay. Joke's on you though.
