I'm just saying if you watched that video and took away from it Tepper is messing up again, you either weren't paying attention or were going to come away with that opinion no matter what.  I don't care if people like him or not.  I don't care for him right now.  It was mainly a video about how Morgan operated the draft.  Maybe they intentionally made it appear that way, but it was pretty clear they either wanted us to think this is Morgan's baby or it really is.  Again not watching the video I think you are just wanting to argue or shoot the poo for a minute.

I'm just saying, if the Panthers are going to show Tepper in that space......you are going to rightfully get that response from a % of hardcore fans.  I don't get having a problem with people having that natural reaction.  It makes sense.

That's why I call it Groundhogs Day.  We have already done variations of this and so has Panther PR.  We literally did it last offseason.   So given that, my first thought is NOT going to be Dan Morgan is now in control.  I can acknowledge the intent of the PR.  But the intent of the PR isn't what people have to walk away with.    That seems to be what you are implying.  Well, they intended for you to think X so you should only walk away from it thinking about X.  Not Y.  Even though Y has been the consistent theme for a half decade.

New coach, new GM. They are free to move on from anyone, theoretically, Bryce and Ickey, including. Now Jerry had his guys that were untouchable, only those (SS89, Thomas Davis) were ballers. Hopefully T realizes how badly he just got scammed with Bryce. My hope is enough narrative is built that moving on from Bryce just ‘works itself out naturally’ — Bob from Office Space.

Dave being in his videos gives himself just enough exposure for the recognition he desperately wants.

I guess we have different experiences in corporate America. Imo it would be far far weirder to sit there and essentially ignore your CEO when talking about personnel decisions, however to your point the person you hire for that job should always have final say. Input is fine, but you hire a smart person to play a role and ultimately let them make the call… from what I see that is how we did it this draft.

ultimately the way I interpret this video is Dan got everyone he wanted when it was our turn at the podium. Def a chance PR isn’t releasing all the decision making process but from the limited part I saw it looked quite solid with a decision maker who got final say regardless of outside factors and input.

Yeah. I don’t think too many billionaire CEO types tell people to just pretend I’m not here.

The production makes it look like Morgan got who he wanted and the moves were calculated.  Long term we will see how those moves work out.

Fun watch.

That’s a smart move from our PR team if true. I’m a Bryce supporter but I’ve said many times we will know by Thanksgiving if he’s our guy or not. If he is, you don’t need a PR team to hype your QB that will come naturally. If he isn’t, you can hopefully move on amicably and setup Brooks and XL as your young core to build off

I will just say this, they did it with Cam, the offseason he was cut we all knew something was up as he was noticeably missing from a lot of the promotional material. Then the whole rhule debacle happened with him releasing the video saying they wanted him back before they realized they were going to be able to sign Teddy

Brown, Jewell & Robinson look to be the leadership on defense. Jewell is a guy who I think is pretty unheralded. He was really strong for the Broncos.

On offense, Hunt looks like the dude on the line but it still maybe slim leadership wise elsewhere. Thielen is a good voice but he’s slowing down on the field. Really need a skill position guy that really makes this offense something/anything notable and helps create a culture. The next maybes are Legette/Brooks/Sanders.. we’ll see what they can do. Unsure on Bryce.

Hunt and Moton will be the OL leaders. Love the energy Shaq and Jewell seem to have. We desperately need good LB play. I see Brooks as the CMC type hard work leader for us. He seems to live and breathe football.

After watching these i have a conspiracy. I think the Panthers are very seriously considering moving on from Bryce after this season if things go poorly. Particularly in episode two Bryce is not shown a lot nor is mentioned much. It's all about "building the team and the culture". Nothing we have done this offseason would preclude us from dropping another rookie or a veteran in next year.

If next year is a trainwreck and we have the number one overall pick again, why would Morgan/Canales stake their jobs on a guy they ultimately both didn't hand select?

I am not sure if it’s conspiracy or practical logic.  It’s been said by several on this board before.  Built a roster with tools to help a young qb flourish. Now it’s up to the young QB.  I hope it works out but if not you have to take another swing in the draft.

Was looking forward to this episode and it delivered. Great watch and a good introduction to our big FA acquisitions. I think our depth is really suspect across the board, but if we can stay healthy (big if), I really like our starters on both offense and defense and think we could surprise some folks this year.

I rather enjoyed that, the draft weekend access was very good.

- Brandt Tilis was the star of this production. Came off as very prepared, intelligent, and has a much better personality than Dan.

- I like the input from the coachers and scouting department. It seemed Dan really listened to their input.

- Scout Jordan Trgovac is a fast riser within the organization, and also quite attractive Chicago, Illinois, USA. 22nd Dec, 2019. - Chiefs Communications Assistant Jordan Trgovac walks the sidelines before the NFL Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago,

I’m going to say the same thing I said last year. There is no tape on the offense so the first couple of games, maybe they can steal one.

As it turned out no one needed tape last year. Maybe this year will; be a litte different.

agree with your post. My point is that I think there has been a directive from the top for the social media team to intentionally not overly broadcast Bryce like a team normally would with a franchise QB

    • They gave him franchise QB money. Sorry but if you don't earn it you can be embarrassed.   He's rich he can take it. Stop feeling sorry for people who can't live up to their contract. This isn't a sport to be soft. Daniels deserves to give back some of that money he stole if you ask me.
    • And it was coming off of a bye week. Perhaps he should vacation a bit in Germany in the off season, something certainly seemed to help him there.  No, really... He showed maturation and the possibility that he's turning a corner. That wasn't the NY Giants out there, but the back to back Super Bowl champions with the #3 defense in the league, with them coming off of a prime time loss. And that was a 9-1 team we just played literally down to the last second. Bryce played so well that maybe, maybe he wins over some nay-sayers. It's still early, though, but what a nice breath of fresh air that was. You can win quite a few games if that is your normal performance. It is obvious that we are still on the learning curve, though. But that was one helluva test he just took. Some of these QBs coming out of college just don't have a lot of games under their belts, especially in top end programs. They are perhaps just a year to two years behind center in games that matter before they move up. It can take them some time to hit their stride. We can still be cautious about our future and still celebrate a great game by the kid, though, and we should. He earned the laurels today, or had before they were snatched away at the last second.
