From what I’m reading this morning, the $650M for Tepper is almost guaranteed to pass.  The city council already approved reasoning land for Tepper’s use.

They are sucker's for passing it. It's just another waste of taxpayers money.

I read the article.  The only threat of relocation was a rumor they might move to Kannapolis.  That would actually be better for me.

The discussion about moving to another state was purely conjecture on the part of the reporter.  While its certainly not outside the realm of possibility, there hasn't been any actual mention of it.

1. You can never be known or recognized as a loud fan base when the stadium's acoustic design is atrocious. If the wind is blowing the slightest, you can't even hear the halftime crap, and that's amplified over a loudspeaker system. The only place in the entire stadium where crowd noise has ever had any impact was in the east end zone area.

2. If your team was founded and run by Jerry Richardson, how did you think the crowd would behave? This is as "fired up" as you'll ever see him.

3. Is it still against stadium rules to take your shirt off? Yeah, fans are doing it in Buffalo when it's -20 outside, but when the sun is scorching your ass on the north side of BOA in September, you better not!

4. Larger markets without an NFL team include San Antonio/Austin, and throw in the fact Texas has no state taxes...

5. Charlotte/Meck already has one of the highest property tax rates in the entire state, and a part of that is from previous stadium upgrades and projects over the years. About $.74 cents per $100, city and county combined.

I’ve seen lots of speculation of a relocation threat with absolutely zero actual information.  I’ll believe it when I see it. And if they relocate, so be it. Will still be my team. I haven’t lived in NC in over 20 years 🤷‍♂️

San Antonio is not a larger market.

San Antonio itself is bigger than Charlotte, but the Charlotte Metro area and combined statistical area are both larger.  Austin is as far away from San Antonio as Greensboro/WS/High Point  or Spartanburg/Greenville are from Charlotte.  And if you drive that trip (I have) unlike NC, there is almost nothing in between the two.

Also, San Antonio would have to compete with Houston and Dallas.  Charlotte's closest competition is Atlanta.

I went to 4 of those games and they could have been much louder. The team damn near went undefeated. We should have been the loudest fanbase in the NFL.

Cam mentioned this in his podcast that he had to get the crowd involved to get him going. Dude shouldn't be running around the stadium just to get the crowd to make noise.

Loud crowds don't need the players help to get loud. I been to a couple of Ravens game and their crowd is louder than any Panthers game I ever attended. People say we are loud probably haven't visited other stadiums around the league.

Ask Big Kat how different the Panthers crowd are compared to other stadiums. I guarantee you we are at the bottom.

Most our fans were the Lake Norman tea and crumpet crowd, gone at halftime.  Its improved but still not great.

i find it irritating that it was put into this proposal, something that has never come up before in my knowledge is now out there

even if CLT bites into this deal, in 15 years it's back on the table

you can count on new stadium talk in ~10 years

I used to love this team unconditionally, the logo and colors meant so much to me, I felt like I knew the players (Jake, Smitty, Pep, Gross, Luke, TD, Cam, Olsen, etc).

Now, my hate for what Tepper has done to what I used to love so much has me in a state of complete apathy.  I doubt I would shed a tear if this trainwreck became some other city's problem.
