From what I’m reading this morning, the $650M for Tepper is almost guaranteed to pass.  The city council already approved reasoning land for Tepper’s use.

The city people will pass it and then get voted out hopefully, i doubt they will back down with how it's alligned currently. Tepper deserves elected officials being petty with him and using him as the springboard to get elected in the next cycle. Knowing Tepper he will fug up his side of the deal somehow and make an epic poo show with the other side out for blood. Sounds fun, glad I don't live anywhere near Charlotte.

Cam had to fire up the crowd even during our SB run.

 

Y'all can try to make excuses for Charlotte fans all you want, but the passionate fans are no longer a thing. Those 90's Hornets teams probably had the best crowd in Charlotte history. Those fans are now in their 60's. The newer generation didn't take the torch apparently.

 

Charlotte is simply not a great sports city right now. It's okay to admit this.

Well Kansas City voters just voted to reject publicly funding stadium upgrades via a new sales tax. 

So it seems your comment about it being a lack of passion in the fanbase that would lead a city to choose to not help a billionaire fund their stadium upgrades doesn't make any sense.
